It might be a mistake, but is it entirely under Muellerās control to enforce?
Interview, impeach, and lock the mother*cker up!
Based on past actions, I thought Trump feels comfortable lying under oath as well. Latest instance, the presidential oath of office.
If Mueller wants to subpoena the President but is not being permitted to do so by the AG, heās required to issue a report to Congress stating so.
In fact, Mueller is required to issue a second report stating each time there was a constraint placed on him on an action he wanted to take.
At some point, Iād love to hear Muellerās reasoning for not issuing Trump a subpoena, if he himself ultimately decided not to do so.
Why canāt Congress subpoena Trump themselves, at least regarding the Trump campaign, Trump Foundation, and Trump Organization? Areas that should not be protected by Executive Privilege.
Granted it would all be very sensitive, but is there a legal basis for Trump to resist such a subpoena?
Iām hoping Mueller issues the subpoena. I expect it will be refused.Let that be āon the recordā before he releases his report. One more example of obstruction.
Itās a mistake that Schiff hasnāt subpoenaed the president to testify under oath before his committee. Unlike Mueller, Schiff canāt be fired by people who serve at the pleasure of the president.
What difference would it make to interview the professional liar?
If Mueller issues the subpoena Trump will just get a deferment.

if tRump is asked to swear on a bible, heād offer to sign it instead.
The day tRump is subpoenaed is the day he ends the investigation and calls out his brownshirts. As others have said, better for congress to put the screws to him.
From where? Where are they hiding?
He doesnāt have any brownshirt army.
there are plenty of neo-nazis, white supremacists, racists, bigots, etc. that would heed his call.
Well so far, it usually involves about 7 overweight old men with lawn chairs.
I would question whether Trump even knows when heās not lying. Under most circumstances, it is doubtful that he even cares or notices when heās lying.
I almost said rascal scooters instead of lawn chairs. Wish I had.
Unlike Mueller, Schiff canāt be fired by people who serve at the pleasure of the president.
Letās not second-guess Schiff here, a former experienced prosecutor who, like Mueller, keeps his cards close to the vest. Heāll play that one when he thinks itāll be most effective and with others lined up to follow. This might even be a ploy in that direction.
