Discussion: Schiff: 'Important' Question Isn't Who Funded Dossier, But How Much Is True

Dossier, schmossier. It’s become a huge red herring. The ultimate question is to what extent the stuff that’s going to be revealed by investigations aimed at meeting standards of evidence for an American court will resonate with the public as true, and tend to confirm what they’ve suspected about Trump and company. That’s why the e-mail server hurt Clinton—it confirmed a suspicion she was a corner-cutter. If there’s solid evidence from granite-jawed investigator Mueller that Trump’s the goddamn crook every sensible person sees him as, then he’s in trouble, base or no base.

At least I hope so. :grimacing:

I especially like that “DO SOMETHING!” Sounds a bit esperate-day. Like a damsel in distress tied to the railroad tracks by Snidely Whiplash.

It’s also important that the WH and Congressional Republicans not be able to tie the dossier to the Mueller investigation. They are trying now to say, "Mueller saw the tainted-by-who-paid-for-it dossier and based his investigation and conclusions on it, so they are invalid. Not true. He’s conducted a completely independent investigation - he and his team interviewing witnesses, reviewing original documents. This fact cannot get lost in the muck.

I demand to know who paid the 17 million to shore up Gorsuch for the stolen Supreme Court.

All the talking heads on the teevee machine yesterday were wondering if Donnie Dotard was finally listening to his attorneys, and were praising him for obviously doing so. I said out loud at the time, “Give it a day.”

Thank FSM he found his phone. Now the reporters have some important news to cover and the country is once again assured that all is well with the vicitims in the world according to DT.

Witch hunt - like reportedly sending investigators to Hawaii, holding a media carnival promising a big reveal about… I dunno … something ? Ya, Dotard. it was bad for the country - but sadly was ominous foreshadowing for something much worse for our country. Kleptocracy via the twitter-addicted vainglorious traitor. Our own Quisling.

There do seem to be times when he’s stunned into silence by the magnitude of the bad news. Not that I blame him.

And part of his base had a big fail yesterday (off topic, I know.)

Last line:

“They thought they could come here and talk shit,” said Teazy, a local man who identified himself as being of mixed race. “They thought they could do something here but they’re obviously outnumbered. Love always wins.”

Hope. Still. Lives.

He’s been delusional and had a tenuous relationship with reality for a long, long time. Before long most people will know it, and they’ll know the term “malignant narcissism.” Also the terms “Deripaska,” “Mogilevich,” and “provokatsiya,” among others.

Look at the last part - preference for democratic run congress vs republican led congress. I think more and more are becoming aware of that first term - and the remedy for it via congress.
