(1) Nixon was in the process of impeachment when he resigned [/quote]
In a country that truly revered its Constitution, Nixon would not have been let off so easily.
Had he been removed from office after a trial in the Senate, his crimes would have been more widely understood and he would not have enjoyed the decades of influence he had even after resigning. Not only that, had he not been pardoned but prosecuted in a court of law, some of his successors in the White House might have been less adventurous.
Â
Congressional Democrats investigated, but their lack of aggressiveness was widely noted at the time. Lee Hamilton could tell you more; he played an important role.
Plus Bush Senior issued a number of pardons that made it impossible to gather all the evidence. Lawrence Walsh, the Special Prosecutor, could have told you more about these pardons but heâs dead now.
Â
quote The rhetoric aside, the Dâs did not control the house during the first 6 years of Bush-Cheany, nor the senate from 2003-2009.
Your ârhetoricâ aside, the above is incorrect.
What was Harry Reid doing from January, 2007 to January, 2015?

The Mueller problem is boring. I hope they get on the masseuse, turned sex trafficker, turned influence peddler, turned foreign bribe launderer, who set up shop near Mar a Lago.
The bold part is particularly important, as that gives it at least five times the power of the non-bolded comments.
Now if he would only do it in ALL CAPS , too, then we could pretty much retire Congress, as that would take care of everything.
âOur prominent concern on my committee is was this President, is this President, compromised by a foreign power?â [Schiff] added.
The truthful answer to that is blatantly obvious (as in âYesâ), but the courts want proof. And Schiff is going to find out that the compromise is to multiple foreign powers.
