Discussion: Scarborough: Sarah Palin's Disjointed Iowa Speech Was 'A Tragedy'

Scarborough like Palin is another GOP bs artist. MSNBC is no longer worth watching.

“I use “write” hesitantly, because I’m not sure any of it is actually written down – it’s just ad-libbed word salad.”

Not true…we have the evidence that she writes things down on her hands instead of cue cards.

Being shameless is one way to earn a lot of money legally in the US. That doesn’t mean shamelessness is a welcome quality in a leader. Palin’s unapologetic ignorance and pandering is of a piece with Romney’s pension fund pilfering and dismantling of companies.

So, while you can get rich without shame, convincing people we need a president without the capacity for it these days is another matter.

She got “from that point to this point” about 5 minutes after the applause died down.

Jabberwocky Barbie is a walking, talking tragedy. Joe the Dumber is a day late, a dollar short on that epiphany.

Proof that I’m smarter than anyone in the media:

I knew EXACTLY who Palin was BECAUSE of her convention speech.

You’re fucking welcome, Village.

Yep. Joe Scar hates to see celebs melt-down–because they’re his ultimate point of identification.

the real tragedy here is the ongoing attention the ‘mainstream media’ , that she professes to hate with contempt, continues to lavish on this shrill 1/2 dimensional harpy…

she’s a quitter… a loser (lost a national election)… crappy hypocrite parent and a known animal abuser…

Fox, MSNBC, NBC and all the other news outlets should be ashamed…

ask her again which newspapers she reads… the Inquirer and the Penny Saver don’t count…

Sarah Palin has always been rambling. The only difference is that in 2008 she was trying to appear sane, and more importantly had handlers to at least attempt to make her look like a reasonable candidate. She hasn’t fallen at all… she just had some people fooled.

Maybe Mika could instruct Joe about the difference between comedy and tragedy.

Or is that beyond her, too?

Sorry, joe but the tragedy here is a blovating asshole who actually thinks he can lie to his
hearts content and thinks we’ll swallow this horseshit without question.

No tragedy, just Schadenfreude.

“it remains one of the most electrifying performances I’ve seen in the last four or five conventions I’ve been to.”

It was “electrifying” because of how she looked. If she looked like Virginia Foxx or Susan Collins and gave the exact same speech, Joe wouldn’t have given a shit and Rich Lowry wouldn’t have had the stars go off in his pants as he watched. The fact that her national popularity with both sexes has been largely due to her appearance has been painfully obvious from the get-go. The 2008 campaign proved to anyone with a brain that she’s essentially an attractive but shallow nitwit, and since the campaign ended she hasn’t had semi-competent campaign handlers holding her hand and directing her every utterance. The painful reality of who she actually is has become blindingly obvious even to conservative Republicans.

That depends on who is doing the writing, and who’s left to do the reading.

He basically admitted he came in his shorts as he watched her. One of the most hilariously juvenile and un-self-aware comments I’ve ever read by a supposedly mature political journalist.

Who gives a crap what Little Joe has to say, his comments are as bad or worse than the Quitta from Wasilla…

In which a has-been, media-created non-entity spits out some meaningless slop in front of some cameras, and the people who DO NOTHING but talk about people who talk call it a ‘tragedy’.

She’s an idiot. You talk about idiots for a living. You’re a bore and a hack. You deserve each other.

I may be mistaken and certainly do share the sentiments about the Governor on this site, but I thought I read somewhere after the speech that the teleprompter failed and she had bad notes, or no notes, and was stuck up there without a net to deliver the speech.

There are those that have accused Obama of being the ‘teleprompter’ President, which is ludicrous because he has been able to string together coherent sentences, where she apparently wasn’t able to.

But I have to wonder how long before her supporters spew forth with the no-teleprompter argument.

In the 2008 convention Palin was reading someone else’s words off a screen. Let her use her own brain, and bad things happen. The best you can expect is a series of evasions, like she used in the VP debate.

The Republicans need a Palin/Trump ticket for POTUS…it will be so much fun to watch.
