Discussion for article #242410

Pretty sure the Republican “talent pool” he thinks exists went to Wall Street and K Street instead.

Of course it’s politics intruding into all aspects of what was once called ‘broadcast journalism’ that is the problem. Boob Joe in his fresh take on GOP victimization, typically, advocates more gas on the fire.

I imagine they’re also hired by Fox?

There is an entire news network exclusively dedicated to presenting and interpreting news, opinion and commentary from an unambiguously conservative/Republican viewpoint, Fox News. Doesn’t the presence of one full network devoted to delivering the Republican message suffice?

How about we hire professional journalists and is it they act professional and only editorialize on editorial venues. This bothers me as much as hiring token anything, I don’t want to be a token Jew or a token gimp, I do not expect anyone else to want to be know as our right wing cocksucker,(sorry my bias leaked out with my pet name for rightists).

More importantly I only read Pravda for entertainment not news, it seems as if the RWCers want a Pravda type of institution for the reportage of their crap.

Conservatives now want quotas in news organizations and academia?

And, at various but important times, ABC and CBS…oh and NBC and PBS.

I swear i really can’t figure out what the hell he’s complaining about, I’m guessing its a “librul media” variation? Call me a bigot, but I just can’t take anyone in a taupe sweater seriously.

Its a bias against stupity and magical thinking, not conservative views, Hell I haven’t heard a conservative thought from the RWC-ers in years.

First we have to point out Morning JoeHard is not a journalist. And Mika is losing all credibility as she continues.

check me here but a quick look at joe’s Wikipedia page doesn’t list any military experience…

I suppose because he’s a Republican and they’re the ones that believe in security and a strong military, even as they abandon the vets who fought the wars started in the previous administration, it confers some sort of legitimacy as a military vet…

like W’s being a fight pilot in the National Guard made him military even tho everyone knew that during the VietNam confilict National Guard duty was the same as a college exemption because the Guard wasn’t called during that conflict…

So the current system of birthright journalism, as pioneered by NBC isn’t regressive enough for the GOP candidates?

Brilliant, may I steal that?

Gotta love his plea for more community college graduates on TV. Nothing against 'em, but do they really need affirmative action? Joe and his fellow travelers oppose affirmative action for women, minorities, and groups who’ve suffered and still suffer discrimination, but they support affirmative action for people who couldn’t get into better colleges?

“The former Florida congressman said Democrats are respected and considered objective, but Republicans are not.”
