And still found time while he was there to channel his inner Rick Perry, selling the French Jews on emigrating to Israel.

I have only two words for a man who wishes someone else was fired.

Lori Klausutis.

Indeed. Scarborough is a fine example of the ‘moral Republican’ huh? And initially he and his staff lied and tried to cover the whole sordid event by inventing ‘health issues’ that didn’t exist. I don’t know how he sleeps at night.

I’m sure the BBC will get right on that Joe, around the same time FOX fires Mr. “I’m an terrorist expert on Birmingham”

Joe was, of course, over the top and made a fool of himself.

But the BBC reporter erred in making a strained comparison between the obviously anti-semitic attacks in Paris and the treatment of Palestinian Arabs by Palestinian Jews.

The behavior of Israel toward its Arab citizens and the residents of Gaza needs to be examined and dealt with—but not when discussing the heinous crimes perpetrated in Paris last week.

fascinating and kind of sad

So Joe doesn’t agree that President Obama should have marched into Paris like Hitler as his Republican buddies are saying today?

Glad to see that Scarborough was able to at least put on his pajamas before going on air. When is he going to stop shaving and bring in his recliner? When it comes to questioning the professionalism of “journalists,” start with your own appearance and political motives for saying things.

There are literally millions of Muslim refugees that Scarborough and the Republican Party have refused to acknowledge for decades now.

40,000 US soldiers and militiamen participated in the “Indian Disturbances” from Florida to Mississippi between 1830 and 1842. In many cases they were given land allotments as compensation for their service in the areas where they had just removed the indigenous people.

When is the appropriate time? It must be addressed at some point in history or the entire region is going to go up in a mushroom cloud. It’s only a matter of time.

We are just postponing the inevitable if this is not discussed and dealt with in a civilized manner. Both sides have been getting more and more desperate while the West twitters around talking about what is appropriate. The attacks within and outside the region are becoming more horrendous and frequent. They will increase in size and slaughter till someone drops a nuclear bomb to stop the madness.

Do conservatives really want to see Jerusalem buried in radioactive waste for millions of years? There sure as heck isn’t going to be any Second Coming if that happens.

Americans like Joe Scarborough are actually shocked that unquestioned Zionism isn’t the default setting for citizens in the rest of the world. He doesn’t get out much, you see…

You don’t understand. There will never be an “appropriate” time to discuss the Israeli pogrom against the Palestinians. More than sixty years have passed since the forced expulsion of Palestinians began, but now is not the “right” time, don’t you know.

Let’s wait until the perpetual Israeli “mowing of the Palestinians’ lawn”, the “diet” imposed by Israel, incessant settlement building, and forced dislocations work their magic. Then, maybe, we can discuss. Maybe.

It’s almost like Bibi is trying to gather all the Jews in one place to make it easier for their enemies to to kill them all off in one final stroke of nuclear madness. Let’s see if Judaism falls for a political charlatan like Bibi or appeals to its better self to find a solution that works for everyone. Israel and Palestine was so close…omg, has that been almost 20 years ago? Lucid killed off Rabin instead.

Discussing the Israeli/Arab issue while talking about a terrorist attack is Paris is both crass and insensitive.

And your silly hyperbole about Jerusalem buried in radioactive waste is risible.

If you want to discuss the issue intelligently, get the chip off your shoulder and stop grinding that very large ax.

It’s clear from your comment that it is you who doesn’t understand.

Unless you are willing to discuss the issues dispassionately and with some impartiality, nothing will be accomplished.

The two-state solution—the only viable proposal we have—is going to take a lot of work and a lot of time.

But your obvious bias against the Jewish state makes you singularly unsuitable for the discussion.

Considering TPM ’ s obsession with this person and the lack of any coverage of him here for some time I assumed he had retired or his show canceled. Obviously, I was mistaken.

My obvious bias against the Jewish state? Why, because I have the temerity to point out that Israel commits war crimes against the Palestinian people? And that such crimes committed by fundamentalist extremists in Israel increase the extremism by Islamic fundamentalists? And that is indicative of bias to you? That’s quite revealing.

Your obvious bias towards dismissing such crimes by those with whom you identify is what makes makes “you singularly unsuitable for (this) discussion”. Look in the mirror and see the mote in your own eye, Newman.

Since you refer only to “war crimes” perpetrated by Israelis without mentioning the same about the Arabs, your bias is quite visible.

And Palestine is a region which encompasses Gaza, Israel, parts of Jordan, parts of Syria, and parts of Lebanon—so if you’re going to call the Arabs “Palestinians,” then you need to do the same for the Israelis.

One of the biggest marketing coups of the last 50 years is the rebranding of Arab refugees—kept in refugee status by Arab states who wanted a cudgel to beat Israel with—as “Palestinians.”
And like most people, you’ve bought it hook, line, and sinker.

The issues involved will only be dealt with successfully—notice I didn’t say “solved”----if hyperbole, baseless charges, and inflammatory language are removed from the discussion—by all sides.

You seem unwilling to do this—because of your obvious bias and anger.

MSNBC “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough launched into a tirade on Tuesday against the BBC and “some others” in the media he accused of downplaying anti-Semitism in Europe.

As if Joe himself wasn’t guilty of downplaying racism here in America.

"I cannot believe the BBC is going to allow this man to stay on the BBC,” Scarborough told the “Morning Joe” panel.

So now he thinks he can tell the news executives at the BBC who to fire like he does at MSNBC? What a jackass.
