Did he ever officially start the job? I thought he was fired before his start date. (Even though he also acted like C.D. before his start date, including some things that may have been unlawful for him to do without actually being a government employee)

Just as important, Trump is reliant on others to fulfill His promises: Yertle to steal the SC nomination and gin up an ACA replacement (with tax cuts!), the White Nationalists to re-shape society to His liking (especially after Kasich turned down a VP position responsible for foreign and domestic policy), and industry (via His cabinet appointments) to make America more “competitive” by weakening environmental and worker protections and subjugating science.

Exactly correct. Loyalty requires a willingness to take a stand and elevate others above self. I honestly do not think Donald Trump is mentally capable of this action. He lacks the capacity.
