Thing is, they really believed Benghazi was something because they were told it was. We rolled our eyes.

He also made sure everyone knew that when he was at Harvard, he got an A- from Lawrence Tribe.
In fact, in that interview with Jake Tapper, he talked to both Tribe and (at length) the president, neither of whom were there. I don’t think he’s insane… he’s just really fake, so he doesn’t remember that the world he creates with his words just isn’t real for the rest of us.

Well he may regret being so high on Tribe because Tribe does not believe the President has the power to pardon himself. And I’m with Tribe myself.
Too bad that article on where the pardon power originated didn’t make it clear that the king could not pardon himself. If the founders based it, as they apparently did, on the royal power, there’s no basis in history for Trump having the power to pardon himself.
There is also nothing about that in any of the founder’s expository writings about this power.

Bad advice? Bad communications? No, I believe this situation is what lawyers call “bad facts.” In other words, Uday, Babyface and Manfart are all guilty as hell. Plus showed consciousness of guilt by lying to keep it secret (under penalty of perjury, at least in Babyface’s case).

If you go back to Trump’s campaign speeches, they all hit the same themes. (1) You’re a victim. (2) It’s someone (pick a minority) else’s fault. (3) Everyone in government is stupid, incompetent or a foe of America. (4) The system is rigged; you’ve been cheated. (5) Lastly, only Trump can fix everything. But when things prove “complicated,” Trump loves playing victim in chief.
