Discussion: Scaramucci: Trump Jr. 'Got Bad Advice' About How To Handle Russia Meeting

If you would have taken that meeting you’d be under investigation.

Tony, paisan, you don’t know what you’re doing and you have no idea how long some people in the IC will hold a grudge.

“A lot of people would have taken that meeting,” Scaramucci said. “I stand by the President’s tweet.”

Thanks for admitting that you too are a treasonweasel.

Jeez, is there anyone in this admin who thinks maybe the right thing to do is, you know, stand up for your country, fight to protect it from all enemies, foreign and domestic?

Junior has been getting bad advice from his father since he was born.

And Donald doesn’t attract the best and brightest for staff for counsel. More like Trump attracts reptiles and flies like yourself, Mooch. This guy comes across more sleazy than Conway and Bannon if that is even possible. Bring it on, turd.

**We know that’s true since almost the entire membership of the Republican congress has asserted as much.

I just think the mistake was in the way it was communicated,” Scaramucci said. I would have told Jr. to say crooked Hillary had hacked Rob Goldstone’s email account in a lawless attempt to entrap a political naif.

“He’s just a young (39-year old!) boy with little experience in politics. Let’s give him a mulligan!” Still “winning,” I see…how long before Trump yearns for the stylings of Sean Spicer?

OK look this is really very simple and I’d prefer you listen carefully so I don’t have to go over it again. Nobody talked about pardons and when we did talk about pardons it was apropos of nothing at all, just, like, hey, how about that pardon thing, and nobody has done anything wrong so there’s nothing to pardon and just because we met with one little Russian and then we met with two little Russians OK actually it was three little Russians but nothing happened and no obstruction no obstruction you’re the obstruction you Democrats and Jared has amended his documents eleventy million times because he’s a perfect person and transparent as your Grandma and all this talk about Russians Hey a squirrel! with the obsession and fake news because shut up is why.

Asked if he would’ve gone to the meeting Scaramouch answered, after noting that he’d gone to Harvard Law School, that he “would’ve used a cut-out.”

A Cut-Out!” At least lil’ Tony hasn’t lost his humble mobster roots.

I’ve got a decent amount of background knowledge but I’d never even heard that term before the government was subverted. Is it new?

Does anyone in the administration or in the GOP imagine that all of this bullshit will settle down someday, and regular work will get done in a professional way? Do the imagine this flight leveling out? How do they picture the landing?

It’s a spook term.

So, obviously, his goal would be to keep everything on the up-and-up.

Huh. Cut-out. Obviously I don’t have any business degrees from Harvard.

Trump has hired family spokesman/lawyer. Don Jr is private citizen and I do not understand why a comms director who is paid by taxpayers is defending a private citizen.

Is getting bad advice and following it an excuse?

The belittling of the escalating population of the meeting is part of the right-wing dismissal of it as a fact. They do it lots of ways–talk like it didn’t happen and that it’s crazy to think about. It’s just an eyeroll to them.

It really works with the base. They really believe the Russia stuff is crazy bullshit.

Bravo. You should add music to this riff and release it as a single. It captures the exact tenor and tone of Trumpocracy.

(I may embed it on my blog. With permalink of course)

Thank you and feel free but I’m not happy with it. It’s more like a start. In other words, no riff! no riff! This is a riff!

“He didn’t do anything wrong.”

Actually, “taking a meeting with Russian intelligence concerning data they stole during the US Presidential election…”

How is that NOT the sheer, straight-up DEFINITION of “doing something wrong?” Trump Jr. is a ruthless, shameless shmuck, as much like his father as it is possible to be. If there is any true justice in this world, Trump Jr. will serve real jail time simply for taking this meeting. Throw in Jared Kushner, too.

Thanks for the good belly laugh on a hot Sunday afternoon.
We truly do have a Flying Circus in the White House…

You serve up an impressive Mock-Trump Word Salad, sir! My compliments to the chef!

It’s hard to match the complex mix of sour, spicy, nutty and bitter that you get in a genuine Trump Word Salad, but by Jove I think you’ve done it!

The bad advice was “don’t call the FBI, take the meeting… most people would!”

We obviously don’t really have to wait for Mooch to go all dignity wraith. This kind of reminds me of how the Log Cabin Republicans act…
