Yes it’s as twisty a logic path as a gerrymandered district border but we always seem to arrive back in segregated racist land with sad, sensitive Steve.

Sorry, sir, but if you choose to speak in front of such a group, then others will logically draw conclusions that you may share some of their views. There is no false narrative at all. Anyone with any sense of how things work will come to the same conclusion: you possibly held the same views as the group you were speaking in front of. It’s convenient for you now to claim, with hindsight, that you don’t have views like that, but it’s a tad late for that argument.
