Discussion: SC State Rep. Tells O'Reilly That Dylann Roof Took Cues From Fox News (VIDEO)

Discussion for article #237709

O’Reilly joins the War on Christianity:

“I gotta say, I think Sen. Pinckney — I know you’re a good friend of his
and you’re upset — but I don’t think he would’ve embraced that kinda
rhetoric today,” O’Reilly told the victim’s friend.

He had the choice of which title to give Pinkney, and he chose the political rather than the religious one. Had a Democrat done that O’Reilly would have had a two hour show on how the Dem was attacking Pinkney’s Christian faith.

Rutherford began to respond but was cut off as O’Reilly moved on.

Loud mouthed Cowardice 101…a tour de force by a master. We have to remember BillO is the real victim here.

It’s been asked before, but why do people with rational opinions even bother going on Fox News anymore? This was never going to be a legitimate conversation. Rutherford was there, specifically, to have words thrown into his mouth and then have his mic cut. It’s not a news channel, for God’s sake. It’s a propaganda outlet that makes its own reality in a board room. I think everybody who doesn’t tow the right-wing line could see where Roof’s ideology stems in part from - Fox News likely being part of that bubble. Nobody who actually takes Fox News seriously is capable or even willing to understand or acknowledge that, so let’s stop trying to pretend like they’re willing to have an honest debate.

Billo is once again channeling the thoughts and feelings of the dead. (See Barry Glick.)

Poor Bill, it is really hard for some old white men to understand the evolution of ideas and society.

I learned a new word this morning “fuckwittery” yeah it is a real word. To use it in a sentence FOX is an acronym for Fuckwittery of xtremes. It employs a lot of stagnating old white males and the crones that accompany them.

Here’s the question for the day … given the likes of O’Reilly or Coulter … who is the biggest waste of human skin? If either of them ever had the basic qualities of human compassion, they’ve long ago forfeited that in the name of profits based on fear-mongering, hate and lies. I’d also throw in Beck and Limbaugh and Malkin and, and, and … but somehow they don’t quite reach the level of the Loofah king and “Do you like my little black dress?”

Representative Rutherford (mimicking Ronald Reagan): “Bill, there you go again.”

FOX News was making themselves the victims from Day One by claiming this was about Christianity not Race when the guy who did this kept mouthing off about Race. And while the shooter probably didn’t watch FOX News at this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if he watched it at one point since FOX has become the Gate Way Drug of Right Wing Thought.

I don’t know, though, that Malkin person is a pretty hateful bitch who just loves to twist anything around and throw lies ontop for good measure. She’s an anchor baby, too.

Sometimes it’s to promote some sort of book or other product. I also get the feeling some go there to get sympathy from the anti-Fox crowd. In this case, it seems Rep.Rutherford thought he could defend his case or make converts. In all cases, it’s not a good idea. The guy who controls the microphone controls the conversation.

For Fox, it’s a win as they’re able to skew the guests as the stereotypes they promote, and in the minds of their pseudo-macho viewers, cutting off the mic just makes them look as if they’re in control and stoppingmore of the “lies,” rahter than running from debate.
