Idle hands are the Devil’s Hobby Lobby.

Actually, I think Hell and Hobby Lobby both have the same closely-held ownership.

Seriously, when I die, if St. Pete REALLY wants to punish me, he’ll send me to freaking Hobby Lobby for eternity. It would torture me worse than anything I can imagine.

Maybe an eternal “Ice Capades!” would be worse. But that’s about it.

Oh no…THE BODY SHOP!! Dang…Stab me in the face but don’t make me go into one of those soap-fetish joints ever again.

"HAHAHAH Dave…Welcome to “Body Lobby on ICE!!”

Perfect-this is exactly what’s needed to show the 5 catholic idiots on the Supreme Court the can of worms they have opened! I hope there are thousands of cases from all kinds of “religions” requesting all kinds of exemptions, the crazier the better!

Wouldn’t this be easier if a new “Shaker” employer announced it would not cover pregnancy services because its religious tenets insist on celibacy?

Waiting for a closely held Christian Scientist organization to deny all healthcare benefits.

Although this is all great fun and a laudable effort, it is likely a heavy legal lift as pointed out in today’s article in the Atlantic.

The real value in the Satanic Temple’s bit of performance art/trolling is that it illustrates the manner in which the SCOTUS ruling was (is) mediated by the dominant culture’s dominant religion.

P.S. I wonder if the Satanic Temple serves “sugar-coated Satan sandwiches°” at the after-black-mass fellowship?

°Thank you Rep. Emmanuel Cleaver (D-Mo) for a wonderful turn of phrase and the proof that something good DOES come out of Missouri (besides Mizzou).

I am impressed with the simplicity and potentially binding legal argument. Philosophically, are those of us that align with no religion, yet are spiritually committed to certain and specific beliefs under the “umbrella” of the relevant SCOTUS decision?

Thank God for Satan!

This is exactly what Ginsburg meant in her dissent. ANY religion can now claim an exemption form ANY law on religious grounds. Ironically, the satanists are arguing against cynical mischief, but, for all you evangelicals out there, just you wait until an Islamic couple argues they are entitled to live under Sharia law regardless of the conflict with child and domestic welfare laws.

I’m sure the SCOTUS will agree. After all, they weren’t arguing for an evangelical christian moral hegemony in direct conflict with the establishment clause, were they?

Right?

Right?

Oh, who am I kidding?

Why is it being left up to the Church of Satan to stand up for the rights of non-right-wing-fundamentalist Christians? Where are all these left-wing Christians I keep hearing about?

You just got to love these Devil Worshippers. Lucifer is truly the bringer of light. Not to get all Zoroastrian on their asses, but, take that Christians. Even HellBoy is willing to fight for liberation from the forces of darkness. The world is turned upside down!

The Flying Spaghetti Monster specifically considers anti-abortion laws sacrilegious. Because it is written.
