Discussion: Sarah Palin: My Family's Alaska Brawl Was 'Humiliating'

What are they/she seeking by playing the victim card?

C’mon Sarah, admit it. It was humiliating because your big bad Veteran son got laid out like a game of Solitaire, your precious husband got a bloody nose and your street-fighting daughter was drunker than the tourists at Mardi Gras.

Today’s TPM news about three crazies is a the perfect Friday trifecta: The Donald The Megyn, The Plain. It’s downhill from here.

Honest to God, I saw the headline and for a moment thought Sarah had actually felt a sense of shame, of guilt, at maybe her family having done some wrong somehow in the whole mix. I suppose I’m starved for entertainment and novelty lately? Anyway that was a stupid thing to think, even for a moment. My bad!

Attention must be paid!

Whatever. Why isn’t the media demanding to speak to the HNIC to find out why no charges were filed against Korey Klingenmeyer for assaulting Bristol Palin? This war on women must not go unchallenged. If only there was some sort of evidence like a video or something.

Why do you do the mixed-case thing? I don’t get it. Are you writing a ransom note?

Sarah Palin has proven that you can in fact fix stupid, if you take “fix” to mean “to render immoveable, unchanging.”

In that sense, the entire Palin family has fixed stupid. Forever.

“…shame on the media…”

That feeds you.

It’s what Republicans do.

I’m not sure why, it’s something like, why do they always scream “liberal media!” when the fact is the “liberal media” is all owned by conservative corporations. I think they’re all afraid and feel threatened and they can’t help themselves.

And Gohmert’s derping over at Wonkette, if you want the cherry on top.

It’s the Palins’ well-known forgiving nature, I guess.

Sarah, you could have avoided the whole sordid problem had you used someone’s brain and not attended a party you weren’t invited to. I say someone’s brain because it’s apparent yours doesn’t measure up to the complexity of this situation.
How does one avoid a fight at a party one isn’t invited to? Simple. Don’t show up and disrupt the proceedings by bellowing “DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM???”

You can’t play victim if you are the one starting the whole thing. That party was a quiet, enjoyable event until the drunken Palin family arrived and got what they were asking for. Sarah can dish it out but she sure has a problem when people get tired of the crap and dish back. It is a shame you did not know enough about acting the lady in civilized company to teach your kids manners and civility.

The best line I have ever read about ‘The Thrilla in Wasilla’ was penned by the blogger known as ‘TBogg,’ who deserves major props for writing:

“However, according  to Bristol, it’s the media’s fault that
people are interested and pointing and gawking and not the fact that America just can’t get enough of thanking White Jesus  that the ‘laboratories of democracy’ didn’t became the ‘fiery exploding meth lab of democracy.’”
