Trumpologist David Kay Johnston says despite Trump’s claim of 10 billion wealth, even by his own filings it was less than 2 billion, and Johnston figures that’s so inflated by leaving out massive amounts of debt that he’s certain Trump has never had even one billion.
So he got 400 million and barely doubled it over fifty years, a fraction of what he would have made if he just put it in an index fund. Considering that he spent at least some of those years actually making money rather than losing it, at the one thing he’s been a success at, being a reality game show host, that’s nothing short of abject failure
