Sarah Huckabee Sanders defended the Trump administration’s relationship with the press Tuesday night, inaccurately telling former Clinton administration press secretary Mike McCurry that “we have not declared war on the press.”

“We’ve only declared war on the ‘fake’ news. You know…guys like ‘Bernie Bernstein’ (wink, wink).”

Trump called the press “the enemy of the American people.” He did not say, “I declare war on the press.” So technically, SHS is accurate, though certainly not correct.

Why do reporters and journalists actually attend this daily bout of horseshit flinging? There has never been any actual NEWS received from this admin’s propaganda free air time, just more campaigning and speaking to “their press.” Just stop! If the news agencies feel they must make their presence known, send interns and such, and have them simply record what is said. Then report that afterwards. It won’t take 3 minutes to read out the release, then get back to news. This administration most certainly is at war with the so-called free press and the free press best start acknowledging this fact and treating them like the enemy the trump administration has chosen to be. FTFF.
