The Washington Post is reporting just how bad trump’s proposed budget is - cuts to Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security- including killing the ACA expansion of Medicaid and converting what remains into block grants. Food stamps cut. HUD cut. Work requirements for aid significantly expanded. Infrastructure spending reduced, FEMA reduced. The trump tax cuts become permanent. DoD and the border wall get more $. And the trillion dollar deficits will continue for the foreseeable future.
Thank goodness we have the House! I hope Nancy gives a speech laying out exactly why trump’s budget will be DOA in the House in terms of the many people that will be victimized if it goes into effect.
It’ll be interesting to see what ‘ol McConnell does with the Senate version of the budget - will he go with trump’s monstrosity? Or will even he realize that having these changes go into effect in 2020 will be essentially Republican suicide?

Of course, the Washington Post had every reason to exam Obama’s policy and point out his errors. It is unseemly for the Press Office to send this out, as if it excuses Trump’s failures with opioid abuse.
Can you imagine the sheer amount of lies that will be told? If lies actually breathed, everyone in that room would suffocate to death.
