Discussion: Santorum: Mass Deportations Would Be ‘Blessing’ For Central America

Discussion for article #244858

Rick Santorum told the audience at a Tuesday campaign event …
By the newspaper’s count, there were only 10 supporters at Santorum’s Glendale, Iowa event.

Ten people.

Perennial candidate Santorum, who is polling in the low single digits. He doesn’t know when to go away. He can’t even get the fundie vote anymore. Pathetic.

Could Rick share a little of what he’s smoking?

Idiot.

These moronic assholes DO realize that anyone deported is just going to come right back…RIGHT?

They’re coming because they’re desperate, and because they want a better life…even if that means breaking the law and living in the shadows.

It’s STILL better than being caught up in the violence between El Chapo’s crew and their rivals.

We could discuss that, but it speaks pretty eloquently for itself.

He is a silly “vanity” candidate - he runs as a part of sustaining his “Brand” - kind of like a “gentleman farmer” makes sure to sell a just enough bails of hay or pumpkins to qualify for his farm-land tax status & to refer to himself as a “farmer”

I think it would be a blessing if Santorum would just STFU.

he generally has nothing to say. what he just said is extremely dangerous, as in lethal, for some of those he would deport.

WTF is he even TALKING about? It is ‘good’ for people to go home to serve in their ‘home’ countries AFTER they have an education and a skill that the country needs. Another stupid, ‘Christian’ entitled white man knowing what’s best for those pesky immigrants.

Rick, sending millions of people to a tiny country like El Salvador for example would turn that country’s economy on its head. Same thing for Guatemala or Honduras or Belize.
Rick, you have zero understanding of Central America. Go home to Pennsylvania and please…shut up.

You do realize that he will likely ‘flip’ this and try to make it akin to Jesus and his apostles. He’s almost there with this ‘self deportation’ bull.

It would be more than a blessing. It would be a miracle.

Maybe I could help prick … er…Rick… to understand. Say the entire population of New York City suddenly showed up in Pittsburgh looking for work. Would that be a "blessing for either city or for the folks involved?

He’s originally from Virginia and he’s lived there for 16 years or so, and we Pennsylvanians think that’s just fine. Your suggestion that he shut up we endorse enthusiastically, free and full and without let or hindrance. : )

OOPS!!! I was running on old data apparently. My apologies. Virginia?

How many of the 10 do you suppose were only there to get in out of the cold? I can’t imagine any of them really wanted to hear Santorum’s ignorant bloviations.

Mass deportations you say? Hmm…where have we heard that before?
