I love Bernie, but damn, he looks a little scary in that photo.
Trump appeals largely to the racist base of the GOP.
Sanders is correct, but his criticism bolsters Trump’s supporters.
Build a wall around the racists. Isolate them and bite off their heads.

Classic example of the media choosing a specific image to convey what the media want to say to drive the story. TPM also does it with Hillary Clinton images. Very “Drudge-like”.

Trump will mutter something about the mean stream media and Fox will make it truthy.
He seems to not care about that. I think if he did, and went and got a makeover, it wouldn’t really help much.

Trump’s supporters like that about him, he eschews political correctness and says what they’re thinking. That appeals to a certain segment of the Republican base.

Unfortunately, it is a time-honored tradition in our media from the start. IMO, it is a rather ugly tactic.
TPM staff couldn’t find a Sanders photo having spittle, throbbing neck veins, a 3 day stubble and disheveled bed hair for their article? Geez…
Trump’s “round up” of undocumented people is NOT xenophobia … Call it by its real name. Trump is advocating ethnic cleansing and it can be a war crime.

TPM does that with everyone. Finding a bad picture of someone is really almost an art form at TPM. I remember a story a while back with Michelle Obama and Jill Biden and they both looked really bad, something I didn’t even think was possible.
