Discussion: Sanders: Trump Worked On Jr.'s Russia Statement 'As Any Father Would'

That poetic turn of phrase is going to be stuck in my head all day. Thank you for this one.

“As any father would.” Assuming, of course, that his son was six years old, and accused of hitting the baseball through Mr. Jones’s window. Now, how old is that “kid” of Trump’s?

Well, but, AMERICANS died there. So far, all the seriously dead people in the Russian fiasco are Russians. Granted, there are quite a few of them, but at least Putin killed them and not Clinton. So we should try to understand Miz Sanders’ failure to grasp the seriousness of this subject about which her boss keeps joking.

“He weighed in, offered suggestion, like any father would do.”

Did Ivana weigh in and offer suggestions?

I mean, my mother was just as interested in my well-being as my father was.

Could she ever serve in Trump’s military? I mean, which public bathroom does she use? Asking for a friend.

I stand corrected. It’s five. 3 by first wife, 2 (including the one just born) with the 2nd.

Scaramucci has three children from his marriage to first wife, Lisa Miranda; they separated in 2011 after 23 years of marriage, and their divorce was finalized in 2014.[53][64]

Scaramucci’s second marriage was to Deidre Ball. Ball worked in investor relations for SkyBridge Capital until Scaramucci sold the firm. The couple first dated in 2011 and married on July 11, 2014,[4] after having their first child together in early 2014. Ball filed for divorce from Scaramucci in early July 2017 when she was eight months pregnant with their second child, to whom she gave birth on July 24, 2017.[53] Scaramucci, serving President Trump at the time, missed the birth of the child and sent a text to his estranged wife.[65]

No. If your six year old asked you for help with Mr. Jones. the first thing you would say is “and DID you break his window”? followed by ‘Son, even if it was Charlie Jimson who hit the ball, you were there and we need to take responsibility for our mistakes. You and I are going to go talk to Mr. Jones, you will apologize and I will help you and Mr. Jones figure out a way to make this right.’

Forty-five years ago, I was a Den Mother. You have no idea how hard I laughed at this one. But, and this is important: Dads were admonished to make sure they just HELPED their sons with the pinewood derby cars, so the boys would know how to do things themselves by the time they were 39 years old and had five children of their own. Just sayin’.

This is one of the many reasons nepotism isn’t so good.

“As any father would”? This isn’t a middle school kid who needs help with a science fair poster.

He was just doing what any father would do. Like Ward Cleaver would’ve done. “Now Beaver, I’m going to weigh in on this problem for you, but I certainly hope you’ve learned your lesson about getting involved with the USSR.”
