Discussion: Sanders Shows No Intention Of Bowing Out As Tuesday Results Roll In

Why would he get out unless Clinton has 2026 pledged delegates? He should stay in at least until then.

He should NOT, however, try to take it with SDs if he does. That way leads to disaster.

“The reason that we are generating this enthusiasm is because we are doing something very unusual in contemporary American politics,” Sanders continued. “We are telling the truth.”

Fair enough. Tell us, Senator Sanders, when can we expect you to release in full all last six years’ worth of your tax returns? And, can you please fill us in on the details about your wife’s last employment and why she was paid to leave? Tell the truth, now.

“We are telling the truth.”

Everyone knows the truth. Bernie is good at embellishing and innuendo.

And promising unicorns. Let’s not forget those cute little unicorns.

Does Bernie know Republicans are refusing to even hold a hearing on President Obama’s budget? He should incorporate that into his stump speech.

Fuck Bernie. I knew he’d let loose with that curmudgeonly side eventually. He’s got that Uncle Bernie thing going that I knew would turn him into a grumbling old Jewish man so reminiscent of my youth. Arghhhhh. And what’s up with Aunt Janey? Sheesh. Release the taxes lady. They’re in your home file cabinet if you do them yourself. Transparency right? Show us how its done…

Not much of a story…Bernie has made it clear that he’s staying in the race until the end, so basically the “story” here is that nothing was expected to change on that front, and nothing has.

He’s getting money until he drops out, too.

The reason they’re reporting on it is because Tad Davine and Jane Sanders seemed to have not read the same memo this morning. There was a little bit of a question as to just what might happen this evening. Now it is clear.

That flushing sound you hear? That’s Sen. Sanders’ legacy and reputation going down, down, down.

OK. That’s the way he wants it, bring it. Till the end.

Tad never said anything about dropping out before the voting was done.

Yay! (deadpan), more Sanders Claus reminding us why liberal became a pejorative.

Agree. He should campaign through June, and give all the voters a chance to vote on his message. I wish he had given me a chance, but we caucus and I had a stomach virus. Sad. He should give the voters of California a chance to speak their minds.

But the phrase “Super Delegates” and even “Delegates” shouldn’t leave the lips of anyone on his campaign, and especially his. He needs to keep preaching his little gospel. Anything else is undignified, disrespectful, and insulting to the voters who didn’t vote for him.

Then Bernie had better figure out how he can actually have any positive influence going forward.

No, but he indicated the campaign would stop and consider where they’re going if it appeared he didn’t do so well tonight. He never did say Sanders would drop out. Jane, on the other hand, said they had no intention of evaluating their situation tonight.

St Trump source tells me by next week they’ll likely be running a general election campaign regardless of whether Cruz/Kasich are still in.

Bernie and Trump can coordinate their attacks on Hillary. They sound the same anyway.

I still don’t get it about Hillary. The hate, that is. The fire that makes young people hate her. I don’t understand. It’s sort of like Mormons that way.

Sure, just not on any, you know, political issues.

You don’t complain, you bring forth a solution and he has not done that. That’s why over 2 million democrats are choosing Hillary Clinton. It’s the 4th quarter with 2 minutes left and Bernie needs 5 touch downs to catch up.
The chances of winning is pretty much zip.
President Hillary R. Clinton . Man that sounds pretty damned good.

“The reason that we are doing so much better against Republican candidates is that not only are we winning the overwhelming majority of Democratic votes, but we are winning Independent votes and some Republicans votes as well,” Sanders said.

Strange? He didn’t mention the fairies, the elves, the wee folk, the wizards, etc.
