Discussion: Sanders Says He's In It To Win It, While Turning His Fire On Trump

I hope you win a bunch from here on out Bernie, even if the math is impossible. Good luck in Cali - I’m hoping it turns out better than the polling thus far, and I think it will.

Well not sure he can rely on 35 percent of his support to be trump supporters in CA, like he got in WV. but i guess thats his only hope to gain any ground.

Well, I must say I’m pleased to see him turning his fire on Trump. I’d really like to see Sanders exit this thing with some dignity. Stuff like this is a start.

W Virginia–like any state with a 75% plus white population–was a sure thing for Bernie. I’m pleased to see that he’s finally talking about Trump–as he should be, if he’s running a good faith campaign for the nomination. If the rest of his campaign is directed at the actual, existential menace that faces the US–a Republican president, be he Trump or anyone else–then the party can unify by November.

Did he? he talked about his polls against Trump but did he actually go after trump other then a couple of lines?

If he’s hoisted aboard the idea that Trump and the GOP are the common enemy and Hillz is on our side, then he’s welcome to keep running, it’s a free country at least for the time being. But ix-nay on the All-Street-Way ap-cray.

Changing the course of an ocean liner takes a lot of time and effort. Here’s hoping that the rudder on this ship is starting to cut an angle. It certainly seems like it judging from the quotes in the article.

Fingers crossed – on both hands!

But just in case it doesn’t: Big banks. In bed with Wall Street. Rigged vote. Super delegates.

I went to see Hillary tonight, she was great. Bernie Bros outside with signs, stopped to chat with them a minute, they didn’t know anything about what the signs they were holding even meant.

Hopefully you refused to wash their cereal bowls when asked.

Were those signs something like those they were holding outside her CA rally?

Yeah, those stupid voters who don’t know that they’ve lost - what’s up with that?

His speech hit his main platform proposals—economic inequality,
universal health care, making public universities free—before Sanders
turned his fire on Donald Trump, the presumptive GOP nominee.

“While we have many disagreements with Secretary Clinton, there is
one where we agree and that is we must defeat Donald Trump,” Sanders
said. “And I am very happy to tell you we will defeat Donald Trump.”

Sanders pointed to polls that showed him besting Trump both
nationally and on a state-by-state basis. He also said that his campaign
was “generating the energy and the enthusiasm” that would bring a big
turnout in November and secure a Democratic victory. He praised the
younger voters who have propelled his campaign.

“Our vision is the future of America and the future of the Democratic primary,” Sanders said.

This is a wise shift, that I hope he keeps up. Sanders voters need to get as fired up about beating Trump as they were about bearing Clinton.
