She said it’s not the President’s role to advise and then advises DOJ herself.
Speaking of Investigating:
HUckSand at today’s conference;
“The President has liberties that I don’t have.”
Keep checking, Sara.
Someday you may have at least one liberty he doesn’t:
Freedom of movement.
Start perfecting the Art of the (Plea) Deal.
So now you’re coming up with reasons three, four, and five? Is this how the Trump administration rolls, fire you then investigate you?
I wonder who’s her lawyer?
Jesus H. Christ
I have no words.
I thought the same thing. I’ll bet Daddy Huck isn’t lettin’ her go in naked.
You mean “fire” somebody by sending a brute to inform them they’ve been “let go” after days/weeks of passive aggressive hinting? (And I wouldn’t put it past them to demand an investigation of Comey as false equivalence to a potential indictment of Jared.)
Or more specifically nekked, as in you’re naked and up to no good.
So who in the administration isn’t a flaming hardcore mean girl?
They don’t have a dog or cat, do they?
This is the grasping at straws portion of the defense. What the WH is doing is an impeachment defense strategy. What Comey did is not illegal. There was no claim of privilege or confidentiality in those discussions between the two. Trump has tried to obstruct justice with respect to Comey alone in at least 10 different ways:
- Demanding loyalty from Comey in their first meeting.
- Repeatedly harassing Comey in person and on the phone to use his position as POTUS to coerce certain behavior.
- Asking Director Coats to stop the FBI investigation.
- Asking Admiral Rogers to stop the FBI investigation.
- Orchestrating a false claim with Devin Nunes and WH intermediaries to smear President Obama for spying on Trump and to shift the FBI’s focus and that of congressional investigative committees/ Misusing and leaking classified info to do so.
- Demanding GOP Members of Congress to stop the congressional investigations, which may have also extended to requests to stop the FBI investigation.
- Repeatedly telling people in the WH he was going to fire Comey for the Russia investigation
- Convening meetings to figure out ways to fire Comey.
- Having 2 memos issued to find a legally acceptable way to fire Comey when the real reason (illegal) was well known to all involved.
- Attempted cover-ups of all of the foregoing.
…giving false testimony, leaking privileged information to journalists, he went outside of the chain of command, and politicized an investigation…
Sounds like her boss.
When Trumpsters accuse someone of something, it’s always a projection of what they themselves have done or are doing…
And what’s more, Trump is chiseling Rove out of the royalties.
Ben Carson has outsourced that role to his wife, son, and Armstrong Williams.
Hmm…
Who should investigate Comey. Should it be Lying under Oath Sessions or Cover up for Trump Rosenstein??
I guess I’ll just wait for Mueller’s Solomon-like wisdom on that question. Maybe he’ll just decide to cut the Republican Party in half…wait…never mind…that’s Brannon’s job.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders is now moving BEYOND FARCE.
Is the Mueller investigation moving in so furiously that the Trump Administration is just throwing ALL of their cards in the air and racing towards the drain? It seems so with this latest foolishness.
I’m sure the indpendent DOJ would never listen to the official spokesperson for the head of the Executive branch when it came to the President’s evident opinions on what criminal investigations need pursued.
I think McGahn should do it…He can exchange files with Mueller. Save a lot of walking.
“She did not provide any evidence for the first charge”
She doesn’t have to. State Propaganda Network Faux News took care of that for Dear Leader. You know, supposed anonymous sources and some screaming idiot named Hannity. Case closed. Lock him up and flay him like Theon!
BTW, it’s about time TPM started looking at this concerted, organized effort to go after Comey. This is, in fact, “long knife” shit we’re watching play out.
The vise is closing.
