You go work with Trump, Bernie. It will get you everything you deserve, and then some. I guarantee it.
Just go away.
I have the feeling that he is making statements and taking positions so as to maximize his platform, rather than to advance his ideology. No informed person will believe that Trump and Sanders can agree on banking reform.
Regulation of banks? Lol!! What planet is Bernie living on?
Maybe, even at 42 years of age, I’m still not mature enough to understand this? Who are democrats trying to impress with this message of open-mindedness? Who? It bothers the ever loving shit out of me! This asshole rapist became POTUS, in large part, by de-legitimizing President Obama. President Obama, who even if you do not agree with his policies, no one can dispute that he is a good, kind man, that deserved better than what the rapist, and the republicans said about him, and did to him. And now, we’re going to give this bullshit message of “I’ll find common ground!”? Fuck. Trump! I’m sorry, maybe it’s my lack of sleep since election night, but this is why we lose. We appease too much! It’s why a draft dodging coward can portray himself as the “law and order” candidate! We need to send a message…a “fuck you, Trump! You’re illegitimate, and we will never recognize you as the POTUS!” kind of message. Not this bullshit!
Goddamn it!
Bernie is a Democrat? Who knew?
It’s not only Bernie. It’s the Senator from Hawaii, Senator from Oregon. Even Liz Warren, who I may have to break up with. It needs to stop. I don’t want to take the high road. I’m tired of the high road. Look where the high road got us! We need to nut up and push people around.
Bear in mind that Sanders publicly called for Obama to be primaried in 2012. On several occasions.
The back handed criticism of Hillary was really classy. While he claims we can not win if we have any connection to Wall Street, insurance companies, etc the person with the most connections in those areas won with the help of the independent candidate constantly making derogatory remarks about the democratic candidate. He helped with the negative perception of Hillary that caused some to not vote. Additionally as he says he is willing to work with Trump on trade etc I did not hear him ask when Trump is going to bring his manufacturing jobs back to the USA. I find independent Bernie’s effort to be the spoksperson for the D’s to be totally bizzar.
BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
Trump working with you? Oh Bernie, you just crack me up.
I wouldn’t worry too much about Sanders working with Trump. Given his past, such work will consist of jumping on any trade platform Trump puts on and immediately moving far enough to left that it is unpalatable, and then claiming moral superiority.
Its the Sanders way. And always has been, not matter who he is working with. If Hillary had come out of the blocks for a $20 minimum wage, Bernie would have been stumping for $25 or $30. Because his approach has always been much less concerned with enacting actual policies, and much more about preserving an air of purity.
Rump has made it very clear that he will do everything in his power to assist the 1% in this country. Very clear. What is this fool listening to?
“I think it is high time that corporate America understand that they cannot get the benefits of being American corporations while at the same time they’re turning their backs on America’s working class,” Sanders said, later adding that a tariff may be an option.
Wha? Wha? One of the FIRST things Rump is gonna do is get rid of Dodd-Frank. Why the f*ck would he reinstate Glass-Stegal? Are the berniacs really eager for Birdie to roll ever like this?
EDIT TO ADD: Paul Ryan has been extremely clear that Medicare is history. No more veto pen in the way. The disconnect is striking. Can Vermonters please get rid of this thing?
““We look forward to working with him to make sure that he does not cut Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid,””
I was all ready to slap him again but, to be fair, that’s not really a statement of being willing to work with someone haha. Saying you’re going to “work with” someone to “make sure” they DON’T do something is not really a statement of capitulation and is a very odd turn of phrase.
And he also took swipes at Pres. Obama and both Bill and Hillary during the primaries. He’s doing it again. A lotta the “declining middle class” and “working class people” people he speaks of are newly retired or approaching retirement Baby Boomers who have been reliable Democratic voters not only in POTUS elections but midterm/offyear elections too. I don’t think Bern has his finger on their pulse.
This guy hasn’t survived for 23 years in Congress/Senate without knowing how to cover his ass.
What did you expect?
Did Bernie not get the memo that Trump and many on his team are anti-semites?
Be that as it may, dj, I’m trying to say if there is a D in front of their name, stop with the “We’ll work with him.” horseshit. I don’t want to hear it. It spits in the face of every soul that is out there every night and day, on college campuses, and cities all over this country protesting their asses off. Dems, fundamentally, failed to take the pulse of the country during the election, and the clueless-ness still seems to be prevalent.
enough with the fucking high road!
(just so it’s clear, I’m venting in general. Not directed at you in any way, shape or form.)
But, he read that Bannon called himself a Leninist, and wanted to burn the whole system down.
So…
According to the basic framing of socialism, there is only class warfare.
Racism, sexism, antisemitism - that’s just ancillary stuff designed to make you take your eyes off the class warfare ball.
The only thing both parties have in common as well as the couple of Independents is that they’re opposed to T’s proposal there be Congressional term limits. So, yeah, Dems and Independents can say anything they want, but it might be an opening for them to look at the economic disparity that drive trumpers to vote for him
