Corporate MSM is good for nothing but stirring crap upā€¦no matter how restrain Obama remains, theyā€™ll still make that excrement fly in all directions.

ā€œSen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT)ā€¦ā€?

ā€œDā€? No. ā€œIā€. There is a difference.

Tierney Sneed, Senator Sanders wasnā€™t saying ā€œa political interviewā€, he was saying ā€œa POLITICO interviewā€. He was referring to the sit-down interview that President Obama granted Glenn Thrush.

Thereā€™s no question, based on what Obama says in the interview, that he prefers Hillary. His take is that Sanders has had the luxury of being an gadfly/non-establishment candidate and that his iconoclastic policy ideas havenā€™t been vetted while Hillary, as designated front-runner Democratic candidate with plenty of WH/POTUS/SOS experience with real and realistic, well vetted policy in many areas.

Further, he says out that he doesnā€™t get why many Sanders supporters are still mad about things that were said during the heat of the Dem primaries in 2008; clearly heā€™s beyond ā€œover itā€.

like I saidā€¦he got the stand down order. Obama basically gave her his endorsement. Now its up to ā€œeducatedā€ voters like YOU to decide who you want to support. Someone under FBI investigation or a Socialist! I KNOW!!! Not much of a choice!!!

Wow, what a stinging retort. And a very popular one as well. Iā€™ve seen it hundreds of times on various websites.

Bernie donā€™t stand down to no one!

Well, IĀ“m going for the Socialist, but IĀ“d take HRC over any of the clowns on the Republican side. YouĀ“d have to be an idiot to vote for one of those Republicans.

Oh, IĀ“m sorry! That was thoughtless of me!

I agree, it was thoughtless. I would also add that you must either not have much in way of earnings or are in some way looking for your school loans to be refunded to be voting for Bernie. In either case Bernie is your man!!

P.S. if its any consolation to you, I think you should be getting a FULL refund on your loans!!! FEEL THE BURN!

but the two discussed addressing the Islamic State and the U.S.'s relationship with Iran.

Thatā€™s the important point. Obama did say in that politico interview that Bernie has been a fairly one-note candidate so far, and heā€™s not wrong. I think Obama wants to see where Bernieā€™s head is on foreign policy and terrorism and Iā€™m guessing, to make the point that if Bernie wants support from Obama and those he can influence, Bernie needs to step up his game on the specifics in that area.

LOLā€¦Giving someone like Bernie an ā€œorderā€ is much more likely to produce the opposite effect of whatever was ā€œordered.ā€ And of course, Obama isnā€™t likely to have tried issuing any ā€œordersā€ to Bernie, because (among other reasons) Obama isnā€™t stupid.

In todayā€™s White House press briefing, Press Secretary Josh Earrnest was repeatedly asked about the Sanders-Obama meeting today, and whether what Obama had said to Politico was tantamount to an endorsement, whether he planned to endorse, why hasnā€™t he endorsed already, etc.

And Earnest made an interesting comment: he said when Obama and Clinton went through a tough, contentious primary in 2008, it made Obama a better candidate, one better prepared to win the general.

He added that the primary was also beneficial to voters in that issues of vital importance were given over to intensive and thoughtful debates.

Why, he asked, would Obama give an endorsement now, and risk potentially robbing the primary candidates, and the electorate, of the benefit of that experience?

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest argued that a competitive Democratic primary was not a problem.

ā€œThat debate is good for our democracy,ā€ he said. ā€œItā€™s also good for the party. And in the context of that debate, Senator Sanders has had great success in engaging and even inspiring a large segment of the Democratic Party. That ability to engage Democrats and excite them and inspire them will be critical to the success of Democrats up and down the ballot, whether Senator Sanders is the nominee or not.ā€

Hear, hear!
