Your point?
That fools only delude themselves, but try to delude others.

I don’t hate my gender (though way too many of my gender are insecure man-children and vulgar idiots).

That you think I as a man would be offended because others call you a dick and that makes me a sexist is what is rather odd.

Get them to turn off the TV?

So which are you, deluding yourself or trying to delude others?

What is odd is what you think - especially what you imagine others are thinking.

Maybe to you, but I don’t see it as obvious. Hillary has the potential to attract liberals, moderates and even some disaffected conservatives who would be impressed by her competence and preparedness for office.

Don’t forget she was praised by Republican after she left the Senate for her ability to work across the aisle to get things done.

And I don’t know why you feel Goldwater or Reagan are relevant to this discussion.

And don’t come at me with Hillary’s unfavorability; she is the top vote getter of both parties this year, and once she locks up the nomination she will continue to consolidate her position. And she will have some of the top elected officials campaigning for her.

Who do you think will campaign for Sanders – a man who admits his policies would require a tax hike on most Americans, and who admits that he cannot enact his proposals under the current makeup of Congress – a glaring admission given his lack of support for down-ticket Democrats.

And who, when asked to defend his signature issue, was unable to make a coherent statement or demonstrate more than a glancing familiarity with the subject?

And if you don’t think Republicans will make hay over Sanders past statements castigating the Democratic Party and President Obama, his stated support for Castro’s Cuba and Nicaragua’s Sandinistas, and his relative lack of legislative accomplishments after 25 years in Congress you are whistling past the graveyard.

Nah.

They are, and it’s long and deep-seated.

Sanders is a Johnny-come-lately and short on the implementation of his grandiose plans for America.

So go ahead and be all Hillary and get yourself filmed during an interview laughing about it.

Somehow I find myself to be singularly unmoved by the death of a man who, faced with a popular uprising after 40 years of dictatorial rule and systematic looting of his country, promised to send his troops house by house to kill his own citizens.

And, after slaughtering thousands of his subjects, was killed by his own people.

Good grief.

Bernie has received barely 42% of the votes in Democratic primaries this year.

Fully 54% of Hillary’s supporters are enthusiastic about her candidacy.
Only 44% of Bernie supporters are enthusiastic about his campaign.

So as usual, you’re talking out of your ass.

Then it’s sure to work on you, Snookums.

And how many of those votes are from people voting in open primaries who intend to vote Republican in November?

And don’t tell me about how much support he has with independents. Since the Bush/Cheney administration left the economy in ruins and our country a near-pariah, many Republican-voting conservatives and pundits now call themselves “independent” in an attempt to avoid embarrassment and to appear “above the fray.”

You guys are too naive to recognize a ratfucking operation when you see it.

Bernie doesn’t seem to have seen fit to do anything about that for the last quarter of a century.

Also, since Senator Bernie Sanders voted with Hillary 93 percent of the time when they overlapped so either she was mostly not bought or he was bought or you can point to votes in that 7 percent that you see as being corrupt the way we point to Senator Bernie Sander’s vote to hamper lawsuits against guns manufacturers as being corrupt. Bernie’s explanation for that vote is a regurgitation of an NRA taking point and a simplistic lie.

No, I disagree entirely. If Sen. Sanders did not have the support and infrastructure of the Democratic Party, and all of the initial goodwill towards his candidacy especially by the rank and file, ole Bernie would be wagging that ole finger to crickets, the way Nader is doing these days.
So, access to voter rolls and debates with Hillary? Alright fair enough. I think the climate seems right this year for a 3rd-party run from the left. Maybe I’m putting cart before horse and it only seems the climate is that way because Bernie got a boost from the Democrats’ machine. Let’s agree to disagree.

I am referring to the (mythical) handing of the 2000 election to GWB due to the candidacy of Ralph Nader. Although exit polls do not bear out the 2000 narrative, in the case of a Sanders - Clinton - Trump/Cruz election this year, they almost certainly would. And President Trump would tweet endlessly about it.

It’s like raaaain on your wedding day…

In any case, I just can’t get behind phrases like “try to destroy my party.” Is that really what you think Sanders is doing? Trying to destroy the Democratic party? Also have to agree to disagree on that point.

Let’s end on a point of agreement - Hillary will be the nominee, and she will win the general in a blowout. As icing, the GOP is going to lose a few Senate seats, a passel of House seats, and will be fractured for two or three cycles at least. And come mid-November we will all breathe a sigh of relief and laugh about how we argued over on that TPM site.

WTF is that even supposed to mean?
