Discussion: Sanders Campaign Down To Less Than $6 Million In Cash

I would go with uninformed and somewhat brainwashed.

(Note: not referring to all Bernie supporters, former or current, just the ones who think Bernie himself can do it all without an army of state and national Democrats behind him.)

He spent $39M in April to net a total of 12 delegates in WI,WY and RI while HRC gained 85 delegates in NY,PA,MD,DE and CT.

That’s why I said “includes” and did not have exhaustive variables. There is room on the Bernie Ship Lollipop for even birthers.

Now that this is being reported in numerous places, Bernie can start railing about how unfair and corrupt it is that Hillary has more money than he has…

…while completely ignoring that he has been out spending her in every race, and that she stopped spending on ad buys a looooong time ago, while Bernie continues to burn through cash in a manner that makes drunken sailors everywhere blush.

Because its never his responsibility, only a clear indication of the conspiracy theories he is weaving.

Bernie has several excellent ideas. Having said that, Bernie is now a detriment to the campaign. He is Nader and that I find despicable. He knew the rules of the DNC before he started and yes changes are needed. But he is helping to hand the election to Trump. for that I again, despise him.

The apparent weak minded never bother to check. The AP is basing this on April data. So there have been no donations or expenditures since April 30. My credit card record says the opposite.

and this way we will never seen Jane’s tax returns for 2016. Quel dommage.

I wouldn’t even call them ideas. He has lots of opinions.

Actual ideas would involve policy details on how things would work, and a strategy to get them passed. Not just saying “we need to get money out of politics” with little thought beyond that.

Once you go down the “purity” Rabbit Hole, Bernie is a casualty as well. I saw a recent HuffPo article written by a fucker who believes that Bernie is not pure enough.

For me, the question about these people is, “howmanyofthem?”

Also spends all his money on big rallies requiring expensive rented venues (pro baseball stadiums) that require tons of security. Tons of expensive TV advertising ( corporate media thanks you for your business). He wants big spectacles that evoke feelings and emotions.

Clinton focuses on numerous smaller micro targeted appearances, organizing and training her troops.

Which one is the supposed “grassroots” campaign again?

We know that it was a report as of the end of April. First sentence: “Bernie Sanders’ campaign had less than $6 million at the start of May,…”

Does he even tweet?
Twitter is a big deal this year, and while Bernie may have tweeted an exaltation of chirrups, I don’t recall seeing any of them reported.

Those figures are from three weeks ago. He may be in debt by now. Do you think he’ll ask Hillary to bail him out as a condition of his support?

It’s even more obvious now why he wants another televised debate. Ad money is drying up. 17 days until June 7 too. Feel the $$$ burn.

A number of his ideas do resonate with me. But one of the concerns I have is that he’s been singing the same song since the early 70’s. His supporters go ‘See? He hasn’t changed. He’s authentic and believes it.’ But the world has changed *tremendously from 1973 to 2016 and if he hasn’t, that’s a problem for me.

When he talks about his political revolution he says ‘If people would just wake up and see how the corporate world is taking advantage of them, they would rise up in revolution.’ I saw a quote almost word for word from him from 1973 saying the same thing.

You would think his viewpoint would evolve over a period of time. But waiting 43 years for people to ‘wake up and rise up as one’ is sort of crazy.

Probably because May isn’t over, so there is no disclosures for May’s balances yet.

Now, if YOU weren’t so weak minded, you might have noticed that. Nor does the reporting say there are no donations or expenditures for May…merely that they haven’t been officially reported. Because the month isn’t over.

Damn those corrupt Establishment calendars!
