Discussion for article #247573
I do long for the day when Arpaio gets his, and I so hope itâs before he dies.
Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Bernie for putting that asshole in his place.
Without a path to citizenship we will have problems with illegal immigration in perpetuity. The idea of a wall, or that we will be able to find, and send them all back are both fallacies.
I agree with Sanders on points, but it seems more she ambushed Arpaio than the other way around. Whereâs the ambush?
The courts have been FAR, FAR too easy on that POS. And he keeps wasting taxpayersâ money with his racism and xenophobia. That pr-ck is the worst elected official in the country. And that is saying one helluva lot. He is nothing but a criminal with a badge and a gun.
I agree it wasnât an âambushâ but SHE went to Tent City and Arpaio came over to see what she was doingâŠand check on her.
Where was the âambushâ?
I read that she accepted Arpaioâs invitation. The notion that he âambushedâ her is in response to the brouhaha her visit caused.
So wait, how did Arpaio ambush her? It looked like she was controlling the questioning. Did I miss something?
Textbook conservative bumper sticker logic and a cowardly deflection of a real issue. I get it. Theyâre in jail. It shouldnât be a vacation. But what the hell does that have to do with soldiers overseas?
Unless she was on the visitation list of an inmate, how was she gonna get in? Even then she would have restricted access inside. Seems like this was an ill-conceived campaign event.
It is widely known that Arpaio is a racist, a thug etc etc. Why did Mrs Sanders get involved in this business. Doesnât she have to deal with in the campaign? Bernie needs to get elected before he can shove a stick up Arpâs ass.
Bernie Sandersâs wife, Jane Sanders, is facing heat for an impromptu meeting she had with Joe Arpaio, the controversial sheriff of Maricopa County, Ariz.
Jane Sanders was touring the outside of Arpaioâs âtent cityâ jail in Phoenix with immigration activists when the sheriff came and spoke with her briefly.
Rep. Luis Gutiérrez (D-Ill.), an outspoken advocate of immigrant rights and a supporter of Hillary Clinton, slammed Sanders for the meeting, saying she was not forceful enough with Arpaio.
The continued othering of the non commissioned military as something low within the bizarre conflations and false pieties and always by this type of right wingerâŠ
It seems that it started as a photo-op intended as a play for the hispanic vote in Arizona then turned into a political fight with everyone grabbing a piece of the pie.
Reminds me of the tried and true advice: âNever wrestle with a pigâit annoys the pig and you both get dirty."
That works too.
I agree completely. âAmbushâ has a different meaning to me.
The headlines never match h the stories here at TPM. Just read the hit piece on Obama deporting families =- this deportation has to do with all those kids that were showing up en masse in 2014.
