Discussion: Sanders Acknowledges 'It's A Steep Climb' To The Dem Nomination

I imagine the word Whore will be used quite frequently as well.

One of the reasons Kasich won Ohio is D suburban women crossed over to make an anti-Trump vote. It kept him in the race longer than his inability of carrying Ohio in the Fall would suggest.

If you combine it with “corporatist establishment…”

You don’t have to imagine! Because it’s already happening…

Can BS make a graceful exit? I doubt it. He is drunk with the adulation. An all expenses paid charter to Rome, five minutes with El Papa! the ego is being well fed. Now if BS can can have a quiet chat with his ego and take some off he could well come up with policy proposals that will be well received at the Convention. But for now BS seems to have time only for bullshit. Sad!

“He categorized the nature of the race in Kentucky as the result of the state party’s closed primary system …”

But I thought that southern independents don’t count, you know, like in the 7 open primaries Clinton won in the south?

Sanders’ rationale changes like Chicago’s weather – wait 5 minutes if you don’t like it.

Republicans can’t vote in the Democratic Primary in CA, but undeclared voters can.

And can’t Republicans still change their party to vote for Dems, at least for another week or so, well after their race is done.

“Though I wouldn’t put it past the Berniacs to call Sen. Warren a capitalist shill running dog traitor after that.”

No eatbees, you’re mixed up. That’s Hillary.

Yeah, Bernie’s schtick about open primaries reminds me of so-called “right to work” laws. Increasingly, the only issue in his “issues driven campaign” is about how everything is rigged against him.

CA has an open primary and with Drumpf not needing to win there, you can bet there are going to be a LOT of rat-f*ckers voting for Sanders.

Nope. Modified closed. From the CA Sec of State’s page (Primary Elections in California :: California Secretary of State)

How are presidential primary elections conducted in California?
Qualified political parties in California may hold presidential primaries in one of two ways:

Closed presidential primary - only voters indicating a preference for a party may vote for that party’s presidential nominee.

Modified-closed presidential primary - the party also allows voters who did not state a party preference to vote for that party’s presidential nominee…

The Democratic and American Independent parties notified the Secretary of State that they will allow voters who did not state a political party preference to vote the presidential ballot of their parties in the upcoming June 7, 2016, Presidential Primary Election.

It should result in Clinton/Sanders 2016, going IN to the convention.

I will be extremely disappointed in HRC if she bows down to BS’s thugs and gives him the nod.

Before they were called “Millennials” Sanders’ supporters were known as Gen Y. I really think they’ve earned a Gen Whine moniker. I’m done with the lot of them and their cult leader.

If we also got rid of caucuses his win in Washington state would’ve looked more like his Oregon win, so he would’ve got a lot less delegates. He needed to win Oregon by >18% not the 9% he did to catch up with Clinton’s pace.

Yes, Sanders could win California, but he would need to win it by 30% to make a difference, also NJ has the primary on the same day, and that large state may be even better for Clinton than NY (NJ is the Democrats 10th biggest prize). Instead of telling his supporters he can win Cali, why not tell them how much he has to win it by?

There was a time when I would have gladly voted for Sanders if he were at the top of the ticket. But it’s clear now that, like Trump, he is running a vanity campaign and not really interested in governing.

Still lying to his supporters and stoking the resentment fires - feel the bern indeed.

I think that after the disgraceful behavior that Bernie has demonstrated he should be denied any privileges by Democrats in the Senate. Let him caucus with Republicans if he thinks Democrats are so evil.

The inanity of his thuggish followers is directly due to him. Even with Three Million fewer votes he has convinced them that they’ve been robbed. He is a dishonest cultish asshole.

“A steep climb?” That’s like calling the ocean damp.

With all due respect, that is bullshit elitism. Why am I not allowed to vote in Vermont?

That I don’t know, but it would take a lot of people making such a choice to make a difference. It’s hard for people who care that much for the GOP to screw with the other party to put a D after their name.

Yeah i am hoping we don’t have a WV case where trump supporters boost Sanders a lot, but i can still see him gaining a few percent off of Trump supporters.

Sanders: Notwithstanding my certain non-nomination, I will run as an independent and show it to Democrats what it is like to win.
