Discussion: Ryan: We've Seen No Evidence That Trump Aides Were In Contact With Russia

Just because you haven’t been briefed yet, doesn’t mean that there’s no evidence… it’s been widely reported and that’s not “fake news”.

Manafort’s ties alone are proof that something was amiss.

And what about Ukrainians ?
Put the GOP flacks on record about contacts with Ukrainians, too.

“…about those three Americans communicating with Russians.”

That’s some VERY specific word choice.

Note “Those three” and “Russians”. Very specific word splicing to ensure that other people could have contacted Russians, and that those people could have contacted people of other nationalities (i.e. Ukraine)…

Ryan said that he did not want to talk about ongoing investigations

Yet, he did…

There was an investigation?

“We have seen no evidence so far based upon the investigations that have already been conducted”

So, they fully intend to get away with it by all means, but feel a little need to hedge as well in case their plan fails?

How does one get ahold of the poison that Putin uses on inconvenient people? I’m asking for a friend…

I see. So the one that resigned, Flynn, wasn’t an “aide” of any kind?

The GOP hates America.

Look, they are going to be able to ram through whatever “fuck-over-the-country” agenda they want with or without the Donald. They, we’d be better off throwing him overboard and installing Pence. While Pence is actually worse than the Donald domestically, I don’t see him as being the pawn of Russia that the Donald has become. The over-the-top immigrant thing is being driven by Bannon as the GOP, though they will never admit this, understands that a good portion of GDP is provided by illegal and legal immigrant labor. It’s an ugly compromise, but for the time being I’d rather have professionals in charge of our national security than the idiot cabal that the Donald has assembled.

@turdburgler @kumquat16 FYI

We’ve also seen no evidence that Ryan is the policy genius he thinks he is, along with his fans from FakeNews, Inc. This is more of his hear/see/speak no evil campaign of feigned ignorance of an impending crime and crisis.

I see the GOP is selecting the “cover-up” option. Makes sense as they can always be counted on to make the worst choice.

Remember, Ryan is the man who decides whether to impeach, who is now complicit and along with his party owns this. Power corrupts, and he and his party appear drunk with power and the knowledge they control all the investigatory levers.

And he’s not wrong. It’s now up to the media as the last line of defense to bring to light anything illegal in a manner that is so compelling that the public creates an outcry and demand for third party investigations.
