Hereâs another one trick pony.
GOP is full of 'em, apparently.
Medicare goes bankrupt? First of all, no it doesnât and second of all, IF that were true, how about you fix it?
Fucking mook. I hate that guy.
âŚand again the little bastid acknowledges that while âhe got HISâ it is time to screw everyone else overâŚnews at 11.
Iâm 64 and thought I might be able to retire at 67.
I guess Paulie has other plans for me.
Work until I die or land in debtors prison because of medical bills.
Itâs not funny , because shit keeps breaking on this once viable body.
He wonât have to worry , and neither will his millionaire and billionaire pals in congress.
Must be nice to go through life with no conscience
Ryan love, love, loves him his Ayn Rand!
This ainât happening. Senate Republicans know this is a non-starter and theyâre not going along with Paul Ryanâs feverish dreams. The elderly are one of the few solid constituents they have. Fucking with Medicare, even if it doesnât effect current beneficiaries spooks seniors. Without âthat n(clang) in the WHâ or âthat bitchâ to rail against or blame, GOP senators arenât going to stick their necks out on anything.
Really! Wouldnât that be nice? It would be wonderful to not have this empathy gene or whatever you want to call it. Imagine what it must be like to truly not give a fuck about your fellow human. I honestly sometimes envy Republicans. To not bear that burden would make our lives so much easier.
Slightly OT but I watched a bit of that town hall last night and I could hardly contain my rage when the Zombie Eyed Granny Starver started shaking his head and saying ânoâ before a dreamer from Oklahoma, standing there with her 10 year old American citizen daughter, finished her question and then had the gall to pivot to âdrug dealers.â
Edit to add:
My bad. He actually said ânoâ to the question of whether he thinks she should be deported.
ââMedicare goes bankrupt in the next decade,â he said Thursdayâ
He keeps lying. Sociopaths do this 24/7.
The man whose only non-government job was driving the Weinermobile wants to throw senior citizens to the tender mercies of the insurance industry. How compassionate
Theyâll get some Fancy Feast coupons too!
If we stopped giving blank checks to the Pentagon, tax breaks to billionaires, and subsidies to prosperous companies, nothing would go bankrupt.
We might even afford to fix a bridge.
Ryan - still pushing that grubby fistfull of couponsâŚ
Here in Western CO, a 64 yo will pay $935/mo for a policy that covers only in-network care and comes with a $5800 deductible. Or you could pay $989/mo for a $7100 in-network deductible plus a separate $15,000 out-of-network deductible. Imagine those costs ratcheted up for a 70-year-old - or a 95-year-old. âŚand navigating all of that with a little cognitive decline.
And yet, our Medicare system got a gold star in a New Yorker article here (with follow-up here) for having some of the lowest-cost and most effective care in the nation.
Looks like the GOP is planning to blow it all up.
Personal point: During campaign every time John Kasich opened his mouth he always let out with a condescending, talking down to inferiors, authoritarian âLOOKâ. Looks like Eddie is getting ready to put the big John Gault man food down on the plebes. I hate this asshat more that I despise Orange Pustule Hitler.
First, destroy healthcare security for those under 65. Then destroy it for those over 65. We canât let the safety net become a hammock. Unless itâs for Congress. They deserve the best pensions and healthcare taxpayers can provide. This for a bunch of guys who are on the job less than half a year.
Yes, please do this. Please go after Medicare, Mr. Munster. And while youâre at it, donât forget to go after that despised Communist program called Social Security. America will applaud your actions, Paulie.
I dare you. I fucking triple-dog-dare you, motherfucker!
it is a shame people in this country are so ignorant about anything that doesnât directly affect them.
if everyone were aware of just how good medicare is compared to everything else out there they would be screaming to have it.
To paraphrase George Carlin: When Republicans talk about public service, they really mean that we should all just bend over a little farther so they can really service the public.
Plucky,
Been meaning to ask you: howâs your governor doing with his promise to get rid of the Kentuckyâs version of OâCare?
It is tough to comprehend Ryanâs world view. We have what, 80 years of experience with Social Security and 50+ years with Medicare both doing what they were designed to do. They are both proven successful programs, and both quite popular. Does Ryan really think that the economy will be improved by destroying the social safety net? Do the savings in fees for employers from cutting programs really many anything in an impoverished country with depressed markets? Does he really think that voters will thank him if he succeeds?
