Soon our national nightmare of insurance for all will be over.

I plan on investing heavily in Alpo. I see lots of retired folks stocking up on cat food and dog food.

Is there a more meaningless expression in the English language than ā€œas fast as possibleā€?

I believe itā€™s starting to sink in that undoing the ACA returning 20+M Americans to the ranks of the uninsured is hard. People with ACA coverage are getting life saving medical care, chemotherapy, diabetes medications, etc. Throwing them under the bus will be catnip to the major news channels.

The problem America has with the current GOP is that they are revolutionary ideologues who have learned everything they know about government and public policy from Fox News. They can rage against ā€˜Obamacareā€™ all day long but they have no idea to actually make changes that are not a complete disaster for millions of Americans. And it appears many of them are starting to figure this out.

ā€œObamacare reliefā€

What in the flying fuck is that?

In other words, Ryan et al. seem to be saying, itā€™s better to kill the patient quickly rather than make the poor soul suffer a lingering death.

Only the snooty poors eat the brand names.

Well, to be fair, they have only had seven and a half years to come up with an alternative to the ACA.

Of course, they hadnā€™t come up with anything in the decades before that, but it takes time.

Itā€™s branding. You know, sort of like death will now be called mega pain management. Much more sellable!

Death on a hot stick.

These freaks have had years and years to put forth a viable alternative. They have failed to do so.

In the last 6 years,an Obamacare repeal vote was the first order of business in the GOP House. Whatā€™s different now? LOL!

The main thing they hate about Obamacare is the Obama part. Itā€™s basically a conservative package and anything they could come up with would look eerily similar. They will probably just make a few tweaks here and there and rename it GOPCare and it will magically go from the epitome of tyrannical government to a triumph of the free market.

Donā€™t they call it RomneyCare in Mass? No? Iā€™m shocked!

Freedom to buy expensive insurance if you can afford it or not having any.

Great plan, Ryan. The most important thing you can think of doing is to make obtaining medical coverage for the elderly more difficult. And ā€˜privatizeā€™ it. In your own state, Wisconsin, some 18% of the population - 1,050,000 people - are on the Medicare rolls. I donā€™t mind if those who voted for Trump lose their coverage, only to see the impact of their vote. Meanwhile, Trump won the state by 27,000 votes (pre-recount). If any of those people are on Medicare, they made the bed in which they will find themselves.

I donā€™t know if the USDA still provides an annual example of the cheapest healthy diet, but I used to find that interesting. Mustard greens were usually on the menu, as well as salt pork.

After Jan, 20, 2017 it will include Trump Steaksā€¦

Re branding.

EXACTLY!
People lucky enough to have employer sponsored healthcare have no idea what ā€˜Obamacareā€™ is but believe it to be a nightmare. Still many people with no health insurance have stayed away for the exchanges because they have also been convinced itā€™s a nightmare. Iā€™m always amazed at the uninsured who believe non-deductible health insurance is common. This is because the GOP have been relentless is their messaging with Democrats have not.
