Get used to it. Shit that would have made them apoplectic had Obama done it will now be written off out of hand and swept under the rug for the next 4 years because IOKIYAWR. And have no doubt: The MSM will facilitate it at every turn.
So was this in a written statement or did he actually say this at a press gathering? If the former, why is no reporter challenging the assertion, given that members of the Trump regime were on the other end in Taiwan facilitating the call? And if in person, why was the question not posed to him on the spot?
If all journalism now is just reporting whatever crap is spewed, then how are they any different than the “fake news.” Might as well get the lies unfiltered, in their purest form.
I hope someone can save this so it doesn’t go down the memory hole when the Dow stars shedding 500 points per day and the Chinese no longer purchase US Treasuries.
China: Ayn Rand doesnt seem to know who is the boss.
But let’s not rule out investigating Hillary’s emails some more.
Ryan added that he himself has spoken with the president of Taiwan, and that outrage over Trump’s call with the Taiwanese leader was “much ado about nothing.”
More doubling down. If it continues beyond POS POETUS’ investiture, there will consequences. The redolence of hubris is strong with this one.
Because you, Paul Ryan, is a nobody, which nobody cares much about…
Teatroll Rosetta Stone: “C’mon guys, no biggy…you can trust him… HE’S WHITE. Admit it…you’re all just so relieved to be back to an old rich white man as POTUS that you’re willing to give him a pass on everything, right?”
In many cases, vis. “optics” (“casting shadows”) and horse-race journalism they are not.
Stop distracting me with the threat of thermonuclear war; I’m trying to kill Medicare here!
Because lawsuits and death threats and something something PHEW! white man finally back in the WH.
Or Boeing Aircraft…
Yeah right, Eddie…if Blackie McBlackenstein had done it, you assholes would be declaring the end of the Republic.
China seems to think it’s a big deal, but what do they know. They probably haven’t even read Atlas Shrugged.
All criticisms of Republican behavior now have one universal answer by the Republicans - “who cares”.
Look, criticize the media all you want, but for Christ’s sake try not to just yell wild blanket statements. I just googled “Taiwan call prearranged” and went down the list: Washington Post, The Hill, Mother Jones, CNBC, NBC, MSN, Newsweek, Christian Science Monitor, on and on. Everything you don’t like about Trump was reported in the press widely. The people who voted for him didn’t care. I may be the only voice saying this on this site but if you’ll recall, early on Trump said McCain wasn’t a war hero, and it was pretty widely reported and everyone said this is the end, he’s done. And he wasn’t. So just stop thinking reporting his latest awfulness will mean anything. There’s more to it than that and hopping up and down every damn day saying why aren’t the media doing this and that when they are is a failure to understand and address what we’re seeing here.
Well, the answer to your concerns about Trump’s indiscretion is a 15% corporate tax rate and abolishing Medicare.
The hypocrisy of this idiot is enough to make you want to scream! I hope the living hell we all saw Boehner go through is relived upon him. It’s amazing how they like to portray themselves as the moral right yet nothing they do resembles morality…at least not the morality most people know - tell the truth, care for your brothers/sisters, stand up for those who cannot, etc.
Ryan: “The Chinese are just wimps, who would listen to them ?”
