Discussion: Ryan: If I Wanted To Be Prez, I'd Be In The 2016 GOP Race (VIDEO)

Discussion for article #242392

Sure, I believe Ryan’s statement just like I believed in Romney becoming the POTUS in the 2012 election cycle!

You ain’t EVER going to be President, Ayn Man. And after you get fucked over by your lovely Teabagger pals in the House, and crushed like a bug by Pelosi, Reid, and Obama, maybe you can find a nice job slobbering over some Koch Brothers testicles. “MMM-MMM, good!”, as Tucker Carlson would say. Although don’t expect any family leave, and ball lickers are only paid minimum wage.

I, too, believe that Eddie Munster does not want to be President.

As Dirty Harry said,

“A man’s got to know his limitations.”

Speaker’s not good enough nor the presidency…Ryan will have plenty of time on his soft, soft hands before he knows it.

My first thought when Ryan became Speaker was that the Secret Service better keep a close watch on POTUS and VPOTUS, cause he is not above working the back door to the Oval Office.

OR, ryan: “I want to be prez, but cannot win on a national level”

I actually think Ryan felt this was not the right time for him to run for President for whatever reason. As such, he was going to lay low as the Ways and Means Chairman for four or eight years, until events came together to provide suitable conditions for a successful run. Having his arm twisted into becoming Speaker has changed his calculus to some degree. But, in my opinion, there’s no doubt he wants the Presidency at some point.

Well, lets not forget how he measured up to Veep Joe Biden during the VP debate!

…aside from the fact that he isn’t even remotely qualified…

Hmmmm … I thought you didn’t want to be Speaker either ? ? ? —

If he did NOT want to be president, he would not have run for vice president.

Rayn,
Accept. Perrhaps a new concept.

He probably didn’t, honestly. Speaker is a terrible platform from which to advance one’s political career. It’s a terminal post with more responsibility than ability, even if a prestigious one. And no one with even a minimal amount of sense wants to be in charge of this cat herding nightmare.

Granted – Yet he is Speaker even after saying he did not want to be — Maybe he should refrain from voicing his personal preferences until after the calls come in from his handlers telling him what THEY want him to do — His statements regarding direction … now… have no credibility ---- (if they ever did)
