That sounds dangerously reasonable and nuanced. Therefore, I assume there’s some angle I’m missing.

I’d like to hear Ryan’s definition of “people” as it’s used in that quote but more importantly I’d like to know why Ryan now thinks government has a role in solving people’s problems. That concept is a direct assault on GOP ideology based on self determination, personal responsibility and Ayn Rand inspired nihilism.
