Discussion: Ryan Avoids Talking Trump, Paints Grim Picture Of 'Liberal Progressive' Rule

The GOP is giving their tacit (silent…wink, nod… wink) approval for DEGENERATE Trump to become a world leader…

Aso called Family Valuesparty picked… DEGENERATE TRUMP to become a world leader !!!

Let that sink in…

Ouch, the “liberal progressive” insult! That hurts. Stop. Please. Don’t, stop.

Keep going, you’re doing a terrific job.

OMG, did they not understand the larger cultural meaning of what “toke” meant?

Clinton offers gloom and grayness?

Paul gets all his talking points straight out of Ayn Rand. That’s so Randian it’s amazingly ridiculous.

Liberalism is the process of one-man/one-vote, and majority rule. The state carries out the will of the majority.

Ryan’s statement is a distortion that hides the Republican principle that a capable minority should rule, using the power of the state to advance their interests despite majority opinion.

Yes. He’s that nice man who advances ideas that help the majority.

“There is a gloom and grayness to things”

I recommend that Ryan contrast the Republican and Democratic Party conventions. Which one was all gloom and grayness? Which one celebrated America?

But he’s got to say something, I guess, if he’s still going to put political ambition above serving his country.

I know - it’s the up is down school of GOP rhetoric but it is also right out of an Ayn Rand description of Communist society.

Ryan just got re-elected so he’s safe for a couple of years, plus the people in Janesville love his ass.

Hmmm, liberal progressive rule. Fully funding the IRS so that we don’t cause a needlessly large deficit or dangerously dilapidated roads and bridges by leaving $500 billion a year in evaded taxes on the table? Regularly making adjustments to keep the Social Security contribution limit at the 90th income percentile where it needs to be to be actuarily stable, instead of at the 83rd where it is now? Managing and maintaining Obamacare to ensure stable coverage for people instead of deliberately trying to wreck the system by screwing insurers, insurees or providers any way you can?

Yep, I’ll take that liberal progressive rule. Beats a bunch of wreckers.

:joy:

ryan overlooks the failures of the right wing in governing this nation, failure on top of failure. Only those who profit from these failures have any interest in continuing these failures, and they are paying a heavy price in paying off ryan and his corrupt caucus. ‘liberal progressive rule’ attracts only the stupid, they don’t understand what it means, but it rallies them. The last great Republican President DDEisenhower used '‘liberal progressive rule’ to rescue this nation, Ike warned against fools like ryan when he suggested fools like ryan ‘would be stupid’. Ike hit it right on the nose.

I would love to see an Ike style GOP emerge from the ashes and smoke of the war that has already started inside the party.

And it could. It will take several election cycles, but the country has already started moving left some time ago - right around 2006. Bernie would not have done as well as he did if the country wasn’t going in that direction.

The only way a conservative party can survive is by jettisoning the extremists and moving toward the left.

‘Liberal Progressive’ Rule

Any why would that be bad seems things would get done for a change.

What an ignorant, spineless incompetent. Paul Ryan is steroid-addled muscle - a fool is worse than the orange drunk John Boehner. A career politician and rooked slimy criminal that is enriching himself off the taxpayer trough and from sucking up to the Koch brothers.
