“We’re going to be living with Obamacare for the foreseeable future,” he said.

Well this is good news, Democrats need to be vigilant. The Republicans are going to do their best to sabotage Obamacare administratively and Democrats will need to be ready to push back on Republican attempts to blame any fallout from the sabotage on Obamacare.

Aptly put, Ryan, even if you don’t mean it that way. But in the spirit of reconciliation going forward, let me say, in the names of the people who would in fact have died if you’d succeeded, fuck you.

Make no mistake: Ryan and Trump and their respective bands of deplorable are going to be doing everything they can to see that those people die anyway.

Should they care to try again, the first line of any bill should be an apology to former President Obama.

I know. It’s quite provoking, really, knowing people want to please their megabuck funders and don’t care if you literally die as collateral damage.

I must admit I’m glad when Ryan has a sad.

Back to the Russia connection, everyone.

“You have all heard me say this before, moving from an opposition party to a governing party comes with growing pains,” Ryan said at the beginning of a press briefing.

Ummm, Paul? You’ve controlled both houses of Congress for a few years. That’s not being an “opposition party”, but a power-sharing party. You could have spent the past 7 years writing the legislation and building the support, but you didn’t. You failed.

And it’s not the Democrats’ fault, and not the Tea Party’s fault, and not the Freedom Caucus’ fault.

It’s your fault, and your party leadership’s fault, for lying to the American people about the Affordable Care Act, and what you truly wanted to do with health care in the United States.

The Republicans are going to do their best to sabotage Obamacare administratively

as they have all the way through. Did their best to strip out Medicaid, abandoned the provision to support insurers as we adjust… nothing but criticism during planning or in the years since.

Still, hope is the best foundation. Sometimes it need to be refreshed.

As Joe Biden might put it: “This is a big fucking defeat.”

The campaigner in me wanted GOP reps forced to vote to take healthcare away from 24mil people. The human in me is glad it didn’t happen, yet

Actually, we’re really going to have to take a brief break from the treason plot to worry that the crazy imbeciles will now refuse to raise the debt ceiling. We slipped over to “extraordinary measures” early last week.

That’s right, it’s Obama and the Democrats who saved healthcare for Americans.

Damn right.

We win. Thank heavens!

I wanted to see the vote just so we could see that big happy X in their lose column.

Speaker Ryan:

this is an acceptable outcome for me.
Let’s move to other parts of your agenda and let’s hope we’ll be as successful there as we have been today with Obamacare. I personally don’t mind living with most of Obama’s legacy for another 4 years.
Beats the alternatives for sure.
