“but there’s hope in seeing how the public is reacting to it,”
It is working. People need to double-down on the Resistance.
The Indivisible Resistance is a non-partisan political fellowship.
Love this woman! She is clearly biting the insides of her cheeks as she comments on the “Legislature’s” dysfunction. Keep hitting the gym, Your Honor! You may have an important decision or two to make in the near future. (All fingers crossed.)
I do love her, but I also wish very, very much she’d retired 2-3 years ago.
We do not know if she’ll last 4-8 years. And if she doesn’t, the SCOTUS will become overwhelmingly, deeply Conservative.
Live long and prosper.
I want to see her at Thomas’s funeral.
And how do you know republicans wouldn’t have pulled the same stunt they did with Garland? We’d be in a worse mess now.
Please, please, please stay right where you are your Honor RBG. We need you.
For a fascinating look at her life and the workings of the court, see “Sisters in Law” by Linda Hirshman.
No point in fighting over the past. But the fact is that Republicans were in a 45-55 minority in the Senate before 2015, so they could not have pulled a Garland had RBG retired in 2013-2014. I love her too, and hope she does stay healthy and continues to serve into her 90s.
Please, darling, treasured lady … watch your back.
RBG, do not retire and do not die. Your country needs you.
Or, as the Jewish Vulcans say, “You should live so long and make a nice living.”
Roe vs Wade is just an excuse.
The battle for the Supreme Court is about a whole different thing, a thing conservative voters would fundamentally disagree with, if they realized what the conservative movement was really about.
The conservative movement is about gathering more and more government power, and putting it in the hands of one person, who used to be royalty adorned in gold and riches.
Liberalism is the opposite.
Agreed. May she live to be 100, but only have to serve until the next Dem is in the White House and we have the majority in the Senate in 4 years (speaking hopefully).
