If I were a praying sort, I would pray for RBG.
Every day, I send her vibes of power and strength and persistence, not that she needs them.
Notorious, as ever. Forever…
Hang in there RBG.
And, if you need a kidney or anything, let me know.
RBG trolls Trump to start off his week. Undoubtedly he’ll have to respond with some tone deaf, marginally misogynistic and insulting tweet. Which will further cement the loyalty of his female base.
The only people that hate women more than Republican men are Republican women.
Love ya, RBG. You take care now.
I love her, but I would love her even more if she announced her retirement shortly after noon on 1/20/21 as the new Democratic president is sworn in.
I think her saying she’s not going anywhere any time soon amounts to the same thing. : )
Wouldn’t matter. The electorate must be permitted to weigh in on 11/5/2024 and given the opportunity to express their preference for the person nominating any replacement.
Truer words never been spoken
Yet, we’ll turn towards the light and meditate on RBG’s proclamation, hoping to sing “Hallelujah” after 2020.
Unfortunately, an ego run wild … she should have retired in 2013-2014, when Democrats controlled the Senate and Obama could have appointed her successor
Brava.
I call on Wiccans and left-leaning witches and wizards out there to cast whatever protective enchantments you can on her, around her, under her. We need her to last at least a couple of more years on the bench. I know that’s asking a lot, but it MUST be done!
Looking back to what happened with Garland and the ongoing massive Republican obstructionism at that period of time, I’m not at all certain that would’ve ended well for us. Sure, we could have ensured hearings and a vote on a replacement, but who knows what Republicans would have done to try to refuse President Obama a SCOTUS pick to replace her. Her holding out for at least another two years is not insane, but she needs to step down once a Democrat is back in the WH in 2021 (and Democrats are in charge of the Senate again).
Long live RBG!!!
Response by Trump’s handlers to his apoplectic question:
“No Mr. President, you do not have the authority to summarily fire a member of the Supreme Court, even if you consider her to be a washed up old hag.”
