Discussion: Russian Aid Trucks Begin To Leave Ukraine

Discussion for article #226784

Russian regulars have been in the Ukraine for years seeding ethnic unrest.

The backwash is that some Ukrainian factions that were opposed to one another have now congealed for their own nationalistic ends.

Putin’s in country presence, is losing ground and this leaves the edge (east) near Russia as his last hope (short of a full scale invasion) for leverage.

No doubt the cartage has humanitarian supplies but may well contain armaments as the separatist’s desperation sinks in further.

Should Putin invade, he will lose, as the nationalism he is trying to foster turns against the east not to mention the deepening rut new sanctions will foist upon his constituents.

Who’s a better person the one who sends aid to those in need or the one who tries to stop it?

Yeah, that Putin. A real prince of a human being. Humanitarian first and foremost. A moral giant. Like Ghandi and Mother Teresa, really.

Exactly! Who better to send aid to a war zone than the person who started the war?

The pro-Russian trolls who keep showing up in these threads are quite a source of entertainment. They have all the subtlety and finesse of… well, of Putin, who, like Polyakov, is clearly a six-cylinder, Karla-trained hood.

The person who spends so much effort to send empty trucks to those in need deserves no praise.

If the trucks had been full it would have taken a lot longer to unload them.

It does not seem that Putin was sending arms in to the rebels. So the trucks must have been sent to take stuff out. Most likely the stuff that would be embarrassing to Moscow if it was discovered after Luhansk falls.
