CERT just issued a warning that Russian actors are actively attacking vital infrastructure networks.

Russia is engaged in war with the world.

Unfortunately, our leader is too busy tweeting bullshit while gorging himself on emoluments violations.

Or is Donald still collaborating with Putin? Is that why aggressive Russians are acting medicated?

Hey Donald, your BFF isn’t playing nice, what do you think the retaliatory measures will be?

This Kremlin is far more sinister than its mercurial, then sclerotic Soviet and post-Soviet predecessors. It doesn’t exile people, it doesn’t confine them in lunatic asylums, it just strikes out ruthelessly and kills without warning–and they’ve got a much more streamlined and efficient toolbox than in the l930s, when you had to worry about someone brandishing an ax at the door. I haven’t seen anything like it in my lifetime of Russia watching. And we have nothing but a useful idiot “leading” us. I’m sick at heart and afraid for all of us.

… even more election hacking is coming this way.

Another warning: Americans ought to stay as far away from Russia as possible. Stanford has suspended its undergrad and grad programs there. A sad development, because fundamentally Russia is a rich vein for history and culture students, but a very wise decision at this point, in my opinion.

3 days to Putin’s election.

the U.S. action is “tied to U.S. internal disorder, tied of course to our electoral calendar.”

If only the world would stop interfering in Russia’s completely fair and open electoral processes.

not qualifying for the World Cup actually turning out to be a blessing for US Soccer

It will be interesting to watch Trump’s reactions to any retaliatory sanctions from Russia. The last actions (in response to the siezing of 2 facilities the Russians were using (owned?) in the U.S., was severing the employment of hundreds (?) of Russians working in the US Embassy in Russia led to Trump joking about the action being great for the US because it cut the cost of running the Embassy. A breezy punchline - Trumpian joke.

We know that if this was from NKor or Iran he would escalate in bellicose tweets.

It’s only a matter of time until Sarah Huckabee calls Putin an Obama administration appointee.

Welp, there goes Trump’s reacharound.

Are they releasing the golden showers video?

Both sanction actions, by the US and Russia, are so timid and feckless compared to the real damage. Clever theater, though…does trump get to say he’s tough on Russia?

Sanctions? They should be thanking us, this plays right in to Putin’s narrative and will encourage his base.
