Yes, because attacking the flag in one side of a conflict automatically leads to attacking the flag of the other side of the conflict. This is why, for example, that we should never criticize someone carrying a Nazi flag, because that’s just a gateway into destroying the US, British, and French flags.

To think that we live in a country where some portion of the population thinks that a man like him is a public intellectual.

One of the reasons the Dylan Roofs in this country exist is due to the hateful and paranoid speech coming out of the mouths of a-holes like Rush. The American flag is not “a symbol of hate”. A symbol of hate is Rush himself.

Truth be told, I don’t care one way or another if we have a flag at all. Declaring tomorrow that the United States no longer has a flag wouldn’t affect my life one bit.

On the other hand, if complaining about those Chinese-made American flag pins that the Right insists that all politicians wear at all times constitutes “assault”, then count me in.

Please look at the picture of Mr. Roof burning the American flag and incorporate that fact in your comments. Please also comment on how the American Flag is missing in the sites photographed and posted by Mr. Roof. Finally, please comment on how the American proudly waves over the Bundy Ranch.
