Well, we can’t afford another McGovern running (sorry Bernie) but at least he is FORCING Hillary to tack leftward, a LOT.
Problem is, the MSM decided long ago that they Hate Hillary and will do ANYTHING and broadcast ANYTHING to destroy her because she is not “one of them”.
There is a long, LONG way to go in the Death March to the Presidency and I forsee BILLIONS of $$$ being spent to ensure a Theocratic Fascist ends up in the White House.
They got their first scalp with Boehner, next is McConnell, then anyone else who disagrees with them.
With the John-Bircher-Billionaires, Israel-First-Casino-Owners, and Wealthy-Culture-Warriors money behind them, and the Feckless Press willing to turn any important election story into a TMZ report every night (as long as it Bleeds it Leads) we just may end up with a “Perfect Storm of Stupid” ruling the day as the disgusted center of the electorate turns away in droves leaving the extremist-minorities on both sides to fight it out and we end up electing someone like a Cruz or Huckabee…
Lets see, when is that flight to Canada scheduled to leave?
Yes, you are absolutely correct. That is the era they want to mimic.
Hell, everyone is over 60. Rubio is both the youngest and least white person there.
Darnit you got me listening to that! I didn’t catch the lead-in to Boehner announcement. But a couple of odd comments caught my ear:
1:04:45 Wants to reform our immigration policy “so that people come to our country based on what they can contribute to our economy, on the basis of whether they want to become an American, not simply to live in America.”
1:08:45: almost every other country in the world chose to have a government run their economy.
1:09:45: This is a free society. People have a right to believe whatever they want. But I don’t have that option.
That is all I can handle listening to.
One amendment Emiliano:
Those of any age who are educators and especially those of any age who are educators and especially secondary and post-secondary educators: Engage in civic education as it relates to your discipline.
Olds and whites.
WATCH: OLD WHITE Voters Crowd Goes Wild As Rubio Breaks News Of Boehner’s Resignation
HEY!!! I’m fat, white, (, old) and stupid … I resent the implication that I am a REPUBLICAN!!!
Why would ANYONE feel compelled to vote for Rubio? Most of these sacks of manure are angling for the second spot. Too bad, the second spot in GOP administration always goes to assassination insurance types like Agnew and Cheney.
Orange voters not quite as happy?
Kind of a tepid response from the oldsters about letting the new generation take over and eliminate their Social Security.
They’ve moved their klavern to D.C. this time? The malevolent vahyues voter yahoos would do better staging their ruralist catfish-fry in the Land of Cotton. Old flags there are not forgotten!
Not visible to naked eye, but you wouldn’t be wrong to add “educationally challenged/dumbass”
Ha-ha, not a good strategy! He’s less infuriating than Jeb, which makes him more dangerous. Somehow, we need to win! (Calling the Vice President’s office…)
For a personality type motivated primarily by fear, the fear of death certainly intensifies their superstition – er, I mean piety.
Also not visible is the fact that these voters readily chuck their values any time they get in the way.
This isn’t new. These people came to power in part by arguing to Republicans that you can’t legislate morality, which Republicans were accusing liberals of doing via their manufactured “political correctness issue”.
Now, pc is anybody telling anybody else what to do, though they brand this as the liberalism holding them back from really restricting behavior.
Meanwhile, the conservative movement is busy legislating morality by restricting religion, unions, marriage, speech, voting, representation, in short, every aspect of life.
Then, there’s what the conservative elite say fetuses want in terms of legal representation. There, values go completely out the door.
Cheney was never president… He just ran the white house!
But in the end the GOP will nominate a center right conservative as they always do. Carson, Trump, Cruz, Santorum, Jindal etc… are not going to be the nominee. The nominee is going to be a center right conservative like Rubio, Kasich or Bush.
That what was said when they shut the government down in 2013 over Obamacare. Everyone said it was going to doom the GOP chances to win control of the Senate and it may even cost them the House, but that never happened.
The fact is 90% of people already know who they are going to vote for, so the election is really about the 10% that moves back and forth. The 2016 election will end up being a 52-48 as it always is, with the exception of 2008.
In March, Rubio wasn’t a candidate, Trump wasn’t a candidate, Carson wasn’t a candidate, Kasich wasn’t a candidate, etc…
However, predicting who will rise and fall in a competitive primary season isn’t the same as using historical data that shows the country is essentially a 50-50 country. That is why no one party controls the government for any considerable length of time. In 2004 they were saying the Democratic Party was no longer a national party, well that lasted until 2006 and again in 2008. In 2008 the same people were claiming the GOP would be a permanent minority party, well that lasted until 2010 and now the GOP controls more state governments than every before and Congress.
My prediction is the GOP will nominate a traditional center right conservative, someone like Bush, Walker(who is out), Kasich, Rubio and will not nominate a Trump, Carson, Fiorina, Cruz, etc…
The Democrats will end up nominating the candidate with the highest unfavorable of any Presidential candidate in history but will still believe she will lead a landslide election.
