Discussion: Rubio's Comments On Boehner's Resignation Gets Standing Ovation

This is a “values conference”. For these red state yahoos, “values” means policing the sex lives of everybody in America - except, of course, the sex lives of red state yahoos.

This is the American equivalent of ISIS, except they’re fat, white and stupid, and thus couldn’t muster the gumption to express their hate-fueled ideology via dominating violence.

It’s fitting that these fake Christians are having their hoe-down while the pope is in town.

As I said elsewhere today…I think it’s gonna get uglier before it gets resolved. i’m one who is hoping my SS income isn’t affected as going back to work is not a likely possibility. Age + health + the fact the Gov. Ducey here in AZ has cut my former university by $28 million just this year and consequently 350 jobs there are gone. Others will not be filled. And I’d hafta spend an inordinate amount of effort to write grants that will not get approved because repubs don’t think ovarian cancer is worth the trouble to cure.

It was hard to tell, but it seemed to me that Rubio looked a little disturbed by the crowd’s reaction.

Now is the time for the following to take place

Those who are about my age (67): Engage in some civic education for kids and grandkids
For those my age to around 45: Engage in some civic education for kids and peers
For those age 35-45: Engage in some civic education for peers and younger associates
For those age 25-35: Seek civic education
For those 18-25: Start seeking some advice from relatives not watching FOX

The power of Old TeaBaggers rests SOLELY on the fact that those who are not TeaBaggers are not sufficiently engaged.

If this were a country with weakened political structures, perhaps the solution to what faces us would be different.

But it is not different.

I do know this:

No matter WHAT the MSM spins and FOX propagandizes, the resultant financial disaster awaiting the United States (should Boehner NOT provide an escape hatch from the Krazies before he leaves) WILL cause some serious problems.

At the very least it may perturb all the blacks and Latinos providing Medicare-based assistance to TeaBagg Old Haters to not smile as much.

This video reminds me of the scene from Dr. Strangelove where Major T.J. “King” Kong whoops it up while riding the thermonuclear bomb down to the ground. All these people want is to see something blow up, and they’ll go along for the ride themselves.

From your lips to God’s ear. Alas! I’m afraid that–between GOP gerrymandering, the citizenry’s fear and ignorance, and the kleptocracy’s media blather–the most we can hope for is a push.

Looks more like the event was held at The Villages in Florida than in DC…

Rubio was youngest one there.

Age is relative. They wouldn’t be considered “old” if they were redwood trees, now would they?

I cannot allow that…until you tell me how we can get “The Distracteds” to vote, in the face of all this unnecessary Krazy.

You DO know that all that is standing in the way of us taking back our country from the TeaBaggers is that those who approve of Democratically-held political positions “feel that way” instead of VOTE.

Here’s what folks are saying down at the beauty parlor about the new speaker:

First, it has to be a Republican, so there’s no upside to this.

Second, it could be Louie Gohmert, which might be kinda fun … for a couple of hours.

Third, moderate house Republicans meet in an abandoned phone booth.

Exactly. Be careful what you wish for.

I was referring to @MattinPA who was referring to painting all of a state as crazy when one two or several in a state are wack jobs. I was commisreating with him in that I have seen this here in AZ. My state has been painted with a very wide brush on occasion. “Headless bodies in the desert” comes to mind as spoken by a former governor. I had to rush to point out that not everyone in AZ is crazy (crAZy?). I have some close friends in Texas as well so I know not everyone there is nuts. As @MattinPA rightly pointed out…every state has its crazy folk.
But we do need to galvanize the sane ones to get out and vote.

As a Texan, I appreciate your concern that not everyone in a crazy state is, themselves, crazy.

But states do get that reputation for a reason, or so my friends in South Carolina (“Too small for a republic, etc.”) tell me.

I know what you were originally trying to do and I read the entirety of you, Matt and LGB’s discussion with admiration.

I just thought I would act cute and try to make my fundamental query (lack of voting by The Distracteds) couched in something “witty”.

But I don’t have those kind of comedy chops (such as a guy like, say, Ralph)

Me neither.
Sometimes I get mistaken for arrogant (happened yesterday). And I miss snark and parody to a fault except for when TGOET gets on a tear. But then he can be waaaay over the top.
If the distracteds don’t get off their asses and vote and let the repukes walk away with the WH and Congress there will be hell to pay.

There is NO Latino equivalent for this guy.
