Discussion: Rubio: Wait For ‘Facts’ Of Shooting Before ‘You Jump To Conclusions’

After a shooting that killed 17 people at a high school in his hometown Marco Rubio is more worried about pacifying the NRA than mourning the dead, and God forbid, preventing another tragedy. Marco, I usually regret saying things like this, but next time, I hope it’s someone you love who ends up dead.

I can only hope that this is the comment that kills your career.

In other words, do the opposite of what Rubio does when proposing legislation.

The fact is that 17 children and adults are dead because bullets were fired into their bodies. The fact is that there have been over 25 mass shootings so far this year.

Floridians should vote this preening little shit Rubio out of office.

Said by a senator who has received $3.3 million from the NRA.
Utterly shameless.

Mistaken conclusions - like what?

Quotes after the Vegas shooting. I presume enough time has passed to discuss it.

Yes, Sen Rubio, that is the 3.3 million dollar question the NRA wants you to ask.

If it is not time because of this shooting, how about the last shooting in the church in Texas or the shooting before that in Las Vegas. We hear this after every shooting and we continue to do nothing. It’s time these politicians grow some guts and actually do something to stop these tragedies from happening. It’s not jumping to conclusions, it’s Groundhog Day. Bill Murray would be proud.

There likely will be more than 17 dead unfortunately. But Little Marco gets the who’s going to say it’s too soon to talk about mass murder award because he was first to do so. My Senator introduced legislation in November to ban assault weapons. But the Senate’s been just too busy with one thing and another.

Nov 08 2017

Washington—Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) and a number of her colleagues today introduced the Assault Weapons Ban of 2017, a bill to ban the sale, transfer, manufacture and importation of military-style assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines.

Joining Senator Feinstein on the bill are Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), Patty Murray (D-Wash.), Jack Reed (D-R.I.), Tom Carper (D-Del.), Robert Menendez (D-N.J.), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), Ben Cardin (D-Md.), Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), Al Franken (D-Minn.), Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii), Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii), Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Ed Markey (D-Mass.), Cory Booker (D-N.J.), Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) and Bob Casey (D-Pa.).

Hey Rubio, it’s going to look even worse when we find out that Russian money was given to Trump campaign through the NRA. Stop being a mouthpiece for them.

I archived this article and refer to it regularly. Burr of NC seems to lead the pack with $6.million during his time in office. Victims get lots of thoughts and prayers for that kind of money.

Well, here’s one fact. You’re a paid shill for the NRA.

President Donald Trump, who is set to speak on the shooting at 11 a.m. EST Thursday, tweeted Thursday morning, suggesting there were “many signs” that the alleged shooter was “mentally disturbed” and said people already “knew he was a big problem.”

Yeah you signed off on a bill allowing metally ill to purchase guns…asshat…and a AR 15 too boot…

What a transparent way to get out of taking any responsibility. It’s not about any single shooting, Sen. Rubio. It’s about the recurrence of mass shootings. Over. And Over. And Over again, ad nauseam. Grow a spine or go home.

Really, Wait for Facts? Fuck off you spineless piece of shit.

We are so far past their f’ing “thoughts and prayers”. The NRA owns the rethug party and too many dems too. Sensible gun legislation has overwhelming public support but can’t get a vote because of the cowardice in Congress.

Yesterday’s deaths are another example that dead children are merely collateral damage on the road to gun industry profits.

“I think it’s important to know all of that before you jump to conclusions that there’s a law we could have passed that could have prevented it and there may be but shouldn’t we at least know the facts?”

But, there are laws that could have prevented it. The wimps in congress just haven’t written them. Laws may not prevent every shooting in a school, but if they prevent even one, they should be discussed now… and should have been discussed in the past.
Hard to believe that elected officials are more fearful of the NRA than they are of guns themselves. If I recall, the weapon used in the attack on representatives practicing softball last June, was an assault weapon. I would have thought that politicos would have taken this as a wake up call. Why wait for the next on… do something NOW!!!
