Anyway, he’s right, of course (did I just type that?), but Trump doesn’t want to investigate anything concerning Russia, even the fact that it definitely interfered in the 2016 election and will do so again unless preventive steps are taken.

Agree.

Somewhere in the recesses of his mind, Rubio hasn’t forgotten being humiliated and called “little Marco”. So he’s trying to lead Trump down a primrose path.

It’s true. If Trump & his legal team had any self-awareness whatsoever, their team motto would be: Hey, we asked for the anal probe.

I mean that seriously. With all of the Trump tweets admitting self-dealing, obstruction of justice, corporate and lobbyist quid pro quo’s, hinting at shady financial deals with Russian oligarchs and Putin cronies, etc., Trump has basically been begging - knowingly or not - to be probed by the intelligence and criminal investigation agencies.

Every prosecutor’s office, down to county level, has someone who does just that, Marco. They monitor social media for everyone suspected of a crime. Amazing what they find. People pleading not guilty who pose with gains of their crimes, people who boast of crimes, etc.

I dunno, Marco. Given the vagaries of the current administration, if I were Mueller, I’m pretty sure I’d have at least one person dedicated to monitoring Trump’s and his legal team’s media accounts - i.e., I’d have someone sitting around all day reading tweets.
