Discussion: Rubio: Trump ‘Needs To Stop’ Racially Charged Attacks On Judge

“I’m building a moat. In fact, I already have the biggest moat in the world between the US and Cuba. He’s Cuban. I have a moat. What is it with these people and their prejudices??!”

This is just one of many things that don’t reflect well on the Republican party, pal.

Perhaps not designed as racist attacks. This can easily be seen as a litigation strategy to apply pressure on Judge Curiel and/or the presiding judge to make a change in judges. Trump does not like Judge Curiel’s rulings. Perhaps he can get a different analysis of the case from a new judge. Cannot get any worse for him.

Boy, with all this free advice from Republicans, you would think Trump would have gotten the message. But he is politically deaf. Sad.

Yes it can. Most judges hate this kind of politcal BS and if Curiel were to recuse himself, my guess is the next judge would go overboard to show he’s not a toadie.

Why should he stop and why should he retract? What’s that going to change? Will it magically undo the damage? It’s not like this was something he clumsily said once or even twice, or three, four, five, six times. He’s said it dozens of times. And all the apologizes and retractions in the world won’t change it or somehow lessen the damage. Someone doesn’t get to call me a Big N a few dozen times and then apologize. It doesn’t work that way.

Talking about getting caught between 1st and 2nd base…here an example.

You are right that Trump is far more unhappy with an adverse ruling than he is with the guy’s race. The problem is in deciding on how he was going to implement his “litigation strategy”, he had no problem challenging the guys loyalty to his country based on his race.

Remember when NIxon ordered one of his staffers to count how many Jews worked at the Bureau of Labor Statistics because he didn’t like how they were reporting a (positive) change in the unemployment rate?

Exactly, the next judge may bee looking to remind Trump who is boss in the courtroom and that he won’t stand for bullying and racism. Getting a new judge could be perhaps the worst outcome for Trump.

With the growing number of GOP “leaders” condemning Trump for his racist comments, is there any among them ready to suggest that the Donald is perhaps ill-suited to be the party’s nominee, much less POTUS? Will there be any among them ready to propose that the party deny Trump the nomination? No, I don’t think any Repug has the cojones to even suggest such an action.

“Rubio: Trump ‘Needs To Stop’ Racially Charged Attacks On Judge.”

Otherwise, Rubes warned, his “sycophantic” support for Trump might slip to mere “obsequious” support.

Nope. The more they clamor the more he will doing it, and his fans will love him even more. In their minds this all about being un-PC and never apologize for doing it. Besides they all agree that “Mexicans” should not be federal judges and anyone with a Hispanic sounding name is a “Mexican”.

Deja vu all over again. I’m well aware of Sen. Rubiot’s cybernetic implants, but are all the GOPers Borg? They’re all drawing the line here when Drumpf’s antics on this occasion aren’t markedly worse than some his other regurgitations. They all have exactly the same reaction of “condemn and yet still support.” Ah, but they drew the line somewhere so now these GOPers are suddenly completely reasonable and rational. Of course they are.

Ha … good one –

Though , not appearing anywhere might suit —

And if that’s not enough, his last resort will be “unctious” (or perhaps fawning).

It’s a ridiculous posture, but hey, the GOP is an increasingly ridiculous party, and now they’ve put up a ridiculous presidential candidate.
