The Republican convention is gonna be a big, ol’ bitch fight.
POLITICAL CHAMELEON
Shading opinions,
he can instantly become
the preferred hue, man.
In a crowd, we always need to ask “Where’s Rubio? “ A red and white shirt and cap would help.
The Presidency is always a pressure-packed position. Under pressure, all of us retreat to our default positions for dealing with stress. Marco Rubio doesn’t handle stress well. Under stress, his default positions are 1) he freezes (his State of the Union rebuttal, the recent NH debate); 2) changes his tune (defending immigrants in 2001, deporting them now); or 3) simply doesn’t show up (Florida legislature in 2001 when a committee he was appointed to was formulating a state response to the threat of terrorism after the attack on the Twin Towers, the U.S. Senate when the immigration policy change he was leading came under attack). He says the things particular audiences want to hear, but is never willing to fight for any given policy. His ideas change, his default positions never do; under pressure, his brain stalls, he sings a different song, or he goes missing. He is not up to leading our country now. Most likely never will be. We need an almost 24/7 President not an 8/3 one with all of his weekends off.
So, when is the dirt start showing up?
Just wait until Dead-i’ Trump turns his full fury on lil’ Marcobot’!
Mmmm…more popcorn please!
By less than 100 votes…
Yeah, that’s a “Mandate” for you.
Next GOP debate March 21st. Now Cruz and Rubio will tear each other apart fighting over 2nd place and Trump will turn his attention to disemboweling Rubio – he hasn’t really even addressed him yet. Its going to be a splatter-fest. Romney is endorsing Rubio. Is that actually helpful in the GOP today?
Just remember that Rubio has redefined “losing” as “winning”. He’s the poster child for “call the bug a feature”. He’s like the waist band of Fruit o’ the Loom underwear (guys, you know what that means).
Maybe they’ll cancel it. Well, we can dream.
Considering Cruz’s morph job, I wonder if Obama gets half the credit.
So Cruz’s take away will be that he needs to make more robocalls and smear ads.
Cruz as nasty and mean as he can be, and he can’t get better than Third Place in South Carolina, the state most willing to suck up his bullshit.
Stick a fork in Cruz and send him back to Canada. He’s done.
Well, this keeps Cruz and Rubio in the race, and who knows how well Cruz might do on Super Tuesday and in Texas. Damn, this is really a thriller for the GOP, and is precisely the primary they sought to avoid by compressing their primary calendar. Now they could just be anointing Donald Trump even faster!
Ha! More GOP debates?! I thought the RNC felt they had too many in 2012 (they did), and was looking to curtail all of this a bit? What manner of treachery can we look forward to now?
It’s funny that the Democrats agreed to so few initially, but the Bernie-ites freaked out, decided Debbie Wasserman Schultz was the devil, and shamed everybody into a few more, which I feel backfired on Sanders a bit.
What will Trump do or say flanked by Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio? Rubio is so lousy at this stuff and will fall into his many speed traps. Who really thinks Rubio is some magical contender in the general election? I don’t.
oh come on. get with the narrative TPM.
Rubio Takes a Strong Second Place in South Carolina.
really, it’s almost like he won.
Actually more like 1100.
Yeah, NOW.
Nice second place “victory,” barely distinguishable from the third place “victory.” Neither of which is a “victory” because Mr. Trump walked away with every single one of the 50 South Carolina delegates. Neither Mr. Roboto nor Cruz took a single one.
Apparently, saying the same four things over and over and over again can work
