Discussion: Rubio Slams CNN Reporter For Asking Questions About Trump At CPAC (VIDEO)

Discussion for article #246928

Rubio is the face of the new ’ victims’ of the Republican Party…no values, no ideologies, just absolute belief that somehow they are being discriminated against by ‘somebody’. Sad.

CNN has been doing that since Drumpf announced. They interview other candidates and did nothing but talk about Drumpf. Sent multiple tweets to CNN about it. If you are going to interview a candidate. How bout talking about him and his candidacy…

Coming this summer to Animal Planet, a new reality show: “When GOP Political Animals Go Bad” right after “Potomac River Monsters” and followed by “Monsters Inside My District” and “Infested”

He’s not totally off-base that the media made Trump. They covered every rally of his back in the summer and fall and certainly never gave any other candidate in either party even a fraction of the coverage.

Playing the victim card is rather “Palinesque” of Rubio…

Holy fucking shit. I actually agree with Little Boots. The news media, including TPM, have been slobbering on Trump’s knob since his first offensive comments.

… no, he’s not wrong… but a “smart” politician would find a way to neutralize the bully without getting down in the mud with him or playing victim…

… too bad Marco left his brains in his other pocket…

Well, in the beginning it was funny and fun to watch …

Actually, you twirp Rubio, the reason is because the “news media” is all about profit now, thanks to you Republicans destroying the Fairness Doctrine and allowing monopolization of all the outlets as for-profit corporations, without any regard to the public trust doctrine. Formerly, that required all broadcast outlets to provide news and information on a not-for-profit basis, with the profit made by all other programming. Not any more.
And, but the way, what is the biggest offender in this dumbing down of the news? Your own propaganda outlet, the con-artist-owned, falsely named Fox “News,” of course.

Then: I Want No Part of Trump’s 'Freak Show’
Now: I Am Part of That Freak Show, And It’s Libural Media’s Fault

He may not be far off in saying this Trump crap is the media’s creation. But if he had acknowledged (1) how Trump is even more of the GOP’s own creation and (2) how the GOP has long benefited from the Media’s both-sides-do-it bullshit, he would have sounded more convincing and persuasive.

"…Donald would offend someone personally, he’d make fun of a disabled reporter, or attack a woman journalist, and he would dominate news coverage.”

And Republicans would fall all over themselves to vote for him.

Exactly. Most Americans were made aghast by Trump’s narcissism and lowering of presidential conversation to gutter levels. Instead of connecting with the 15-20% of all Americans who like Trump, Rubio should have focused on the 80-85% who find Trump the narcissistic boor he is.

And you can’t blame the media for covering the train wreck that boosts ratings. If you are looking for an entity to blame look no further than GOP congressional leadership that has pandered to and fanned the flames of right wing extremism and racial hate. They fanned the flames and now have lost control of the inferno… And to add insult to injury they now blame the victims of their despicable hate mongering.

Makes sense to me the MSM would cover “only” trump. None of the other clowns have either any entertainment potential, nor do any of them have anything remotely intelligent to say. Yes, Trump doesn’t have anything intelligent to say either, but at least he’s worth the laughs to watch. All of the other clowns are even more despicable empty suits than Donald. So, makes sense to me that Donald would get most of the attention. Why not? We’re not missing anything by forgetting and ignoring the other clowns.

Why in the hell anyone tunes into ANY news program on television is a puzzle. Nothing is explored in any depth. Obvious questions and avenues of exploration are ignored. The entire charade is dumbed down to appeal to the populace, guaranteeing it must be comprehensible and interesting to blithering idiots. Debating the worth of television news is akin to debating the dietary value of cardboard. Goddamn Wolf Blitzer is going to shine a light on anything? Anything at all?

Little Rubio is just that however, and he can not help him self here, and with the shallow understanding as to how the media got to where it is, choose to fight back and get down to Trump’s level. I have to applaud Gov. Kashic here ( I do not like what his policies have done to Ohio) but he has not taken the bate here and is the only Repub that could do quite well against the democrats, but he is having a big problem getting any traction, and that is okay with me.

A Republican picking on the media? Wow, that’s news!

If he’d have the guts go after Roger Ailes and Fox News for allegedly dumping him, he might have my attention.

One of the things that never fails to disgust me about Rubio and other arrogant Christians is the belief that GOD looks upon them and theirs with special favor. He uses his pronouncement of piety to mask his utter lack of empathy. He is no different from Trump in this respect – except that maybe he is even worse because at least Trump’s brutishness is obvious. Rubio is a good Christian who would use the power of government to force a rape victim to carry the spawn of her attacker – and then goes on to wax poetic about some pregnancy crisis center that he admires. Fuck him.
