Discussion: Rubio On Oregon Militia Men: ‘You Can’t Be Lawless’

Discussion for article #244263

Rubio…still trying desperately to have it both ways.

All of the Republican candidates however would like to transfer public lands and our national forests to the States to give out leases to private oil, gas and mining companies as they see fit in Western States…leaving all US taxpayers high and dry.

There are ways to change the laws of this country and the policies. If we get frustrated with it, that’s why we have elections. That’s why we have people we can hold accountable.”

Sure, rub it in Marco. After these guys are convicted of felonies they are going to loose their right to vote for a while. That’s got to be ‘frustrating’.

“There are states for example like Nevada that are dominated by the federal government in terms of land holding…"

Yes, El Cretino, because these lands are held in trust by and for the people of the United States, not for the likes of Sheldon Adelson, the Koch Bros, or other 1% miscreants. Hence the designation “Public Lands”. Dumber than a Cuban cigar.

“There are states for example like Nevada that are dominated by the federal government in terms of land holding and we should fix it, but no one should be doing it in a way that’s outside the law,” Rubio said.

“and this is the part where he repeatedly gets asked why does he feel like this and what are his solutions for ‘fixing’ this; but he likely had places to go and more people to lie to.”

OMG, I still cannot believe these idiots either do not know the history of those old territories or just ignore the history when commenting on these issues. For Kriste’s Sake, when will anyone in the news media ask them about the reason why the federal government owns and manages all that land? If they answer truthfully, well, then that answers pretty much all of what these fools are “protesting.” My own question is when will BLM do their job in full – and actually put a lien on the Bundy Ranch and others, attach their bank accounts, etc.? Seriously, if one of us owed the feds upwards of $1M for a decade, we’d have already had our lives ruined.

Yes, but it plays well into the meme that Government is some big bad boogieman and not actually the People.

I too have a problem with how we handle land out west. We basically give away lumber rights, mineral rights, drilling rights, etc. for pennies…vastly below what the market price for such rights would be. And yet, these idiots are outraged that they have to pay pennies…they want it for free. For them.

They haven’t gotten to the point of what happens when Jim Bob and Jethro BOTH want to cut lumber from the same forest. Or when Bubba wants to start mining, which destroys the grazing ground that Leroy’s cattle have been using.

Says the elected guy, who doesn’t show up for work…

I would be a bit careful with this kind of argument, Rubio, it could attract attention to you attendance record.(I think I can see JEB! coming now…)

Take comfort in scripture: “Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God”

According to many of their claimed beliefs, those people will be judged for their actions.

Oh, so true. So very true.

I also question if the Occupy Wall Street movement had pulled a stunt like that, what the response would be. Same goes for BLM movement. The feds would be all over these people … long before it got this far. Seriously effed-up priorities.

“that seems like some writing from a religious book. Didn’t you that I’m an American and this country was founded on Judeo-Christian beliefs. What is that book that you are quoting from?”

Oh, how right you are. I’m retired US. Dept of the Interior (Bureau of Land Management, Park Service and USGS.) and have observed the “giveaways” from an inside vantage point. Disgusting how money trumps the common good and the public trust.

it went sideways in the end.

Black Lives hasn’t gone sideways yet in regards to the majority of public support, but that’s on account of Fox and their libertarian concubines not being able to classify every police killing as justified.

Hey, Waterboy, YOUR party created these lawless, traitorous motherfuckers. Own up to it, you lying, whiny little bitch.

Sheldon must have an eye on some Federal land in Nevada. His pool boy has apparently been asked to do something. Good thing we won’t have to suffer a Presidente Rubio.

They try and string these guys along with a carrots on a string and then act surprised when they get tired of being strung along and race out of control.
