Rubio is a known quantity and this doesn’t mean much in itself. But the increasingly appalling things Trump has done since the election are going to bring public rebukes from more and more people who’ve supported him at least publicly. Now that he’s lost a whole chamber, and put the whole GOP enterprise in a far worse position than it might have been, we may see public supporters breaking off in larger and larger groups.
